He was also CAPTAIN, aka Class President! His leadership qualities were evident early on and must have given him the easy confidence that marks his personality.

Yes, nice find, Jo. Some of them are blurry but all distinctly Hugh. A couple of those have an "NBC" logo, so I guess they came from a TV story about him, and it looks like the camera panned through photos on a bulletin board, and somebody has grabbed the images. Anybody recall what or when that TV show was? Wouldn't have been 60 Minutes, as it's a CBS show ...

I remember Katie Couric, then associated with NBC, did a profile of Hugh--was it on Dateline?--around the time VAN HELSING was to be released (NBC-Universal tie in, mentioned on screen in full disclosure). Some of those photos were shown during the show. I remember the song, "Who Are You, who, who, who, who" played over the opening of the show.

I wonder if it still exists on-line anywhere. It must have at some point for somebody to grab these screen caps.

You'll all gonna love this smiley-love029 <cool> Remember when Hugh and family went recently to Marrakech, Morocco for a short holiday? Someone took this video while he was dancing and exercising before jumping into the pool. Along came Ava who seemed like she wanted to be like her musically-footed Dad www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qdy9TcWO3w I can't download it using RealPlayer -- can somebody please transpose it to a format that can be easily downloaded? Thanks in advance! I wanna dance, too Jo

Hugh will make a dashing film hero of the desert!
Maybe even a musical hero on the sands, ala The Desert Song ( with Gordon McRae and Kathryn Grayson) smiley-happy036

So adorable! Thanks, Jo. His glee is infectious in those dancing videos. Don't we all want that magic pill that could make us as consistently upbeat and happy as Hugh?

You hit the nail on the head. I think that is one of the reasons Hugh and Deb get along so well. They manage to be so positive. I am constantly amazed at how TACTFUL they are even when they are speaking out about difficult issues such as international adoption problems or life in a village in Ehiopia. To me that spells classy. Alma

He says he has his grumpy moments -- remember when he said he called Deb before a performance of TBFO and told her that he was feeling grumpy. Deb told him it was alright and that he could play Peter "grumpy" I wonder how that performance turned out, especially during BiCoastal Jo

Re the HAPPY dance video -- While rewatching this another time, I noticed that it was a professionally-produced video for the Hotel Group. There was even a listing of the details, including the name of the videographer who recorded the happy moments. The same is true for the Berber dance video -- I wonder if Hugh did this as a favor to them? Although he seemed to be enjoying dancing with the famous Berbers too well to think he was professionally performing And Ava's perfect timing to the music and to her Dad's steps tell us she is a budding music and performance-lover as well His joy of performing is very obvious, isn't it? It should be an especially auspicious one--18 is "chai" or life. Here's to a lucky year for a well-suited couple who have seen way too many friends' marriages turn out not so lucky.

Oh my, Valerie! Hugh was in big sky country! So near yet so far He's more than welcome to stop by but people forget just how "BIG" it is out here in The West. Yellowstone Park (just north of me; Montana is north of that - ) is three times the size of Connecticut.
