In his Emmys number, Neil Patrick Harris sang a verse in a "middle of the show" number that mentioned Hugh. I didn't record it, so I can't remember exactly what--something about "even Jackman does an opening number," or somesuch.

There are a couple places this could go but I put it here. I'm sure many of you saw this. It's a list of favorite stage shows that have been done on film...either filmed from the stage version of a strait film version of a stage show. Our Hugh is on page 1 and 12! Playbill Poll: Our Readers Share Their Favorite Musicals on ScreenI own several of the films on the list and several are favorites. Of course Les Miserables and Hugh's Oklahoma are at the top of my list! Sue PS: for some reason most of the smileys aren't showing up when I click the drop down box to I am smileyless

How the Lucky Friday tradition started for Mr. Nice Guy Hugh www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/film/9253117/The-secret-to-why-Hugh-Jackman-is-so-niceI had to laugh towards the end of the article, when he said he may have to change his tradition because the Lucky Friday tradition doesn's seem to yield a good return on investment - he does sound like an economist or even an accountant sometimes giggle Maybe not in terms of what the lucky scratch card holder gets but how it has helped him know more and more people in the industry he works in!

EDIT:: It seems these tweets are fake -- not really Sam's tweets. But I am not deleting the entire post because it would create an awkward vacumn which would leave Luzie's post hanging. So please ignore the supposed tweets! ************************************************************************** I was reading Sam Barks's tweets and came across these -- twitter.com/mssamanthabarksI enjoyed reading her tweets, esp about her Les Miserables co-stars. ***************************************************************************************** But I guess the photo looks legit - not photoshopped? And here's a photo from the Oscars preparations --

LOLOL - you're right - the supposed tweets are likely made up ...Thanks for the tip-off. I was wondering why she only had so few followers -- that had tipped me off, but I thought the tweets were fun. I have deleted the second post, but not the first one, as explained therein ( so as not to leave your post hanging)... I do remember one video clip where Sam was narrating a short clip on Les Miserables when Hugh came into the scene. And she was gushing - LOL! I also noticed that Hugh's twitter account was hacked two or three weeks ago. Some tweets which supposedly came from him were not really Hugh's, if you check his No-replies Twitter account. Plus Hugh is fond of plural exclmation points Jo

They were not posted on his usual no-replies twitter account ( but you could find them in summary twitter posts using his username (@realhughjackman)). The sentences were not characteristically Hugh. Even the use of punctuations seemed unlike his usual posts. He was supposed to be replying to individual posts. He might rarely reply, but usually on his advocacies, but rarely about his performances or his family or about his person.
Just my hunch, though.

I think that tweet echoes my hunch. As he has close to 3.5 million TWTR followers, it is probably not practical to pay attention to and reply to individual tweets.
And if you have been following his tweets and his interviews or might have even had a chance to talk to him at the stagedoor , the "supposed" tweets do not sound like Hugh at all.

Jo Well, that one, I agree, seems a little odd for him to have responded to it (those weren't his words, the reply was "Yes I do! hj"). But I wouldn't put it past him, or any celebrity - or a cynic might say, celebrity's assistant - to occasionally check the feed and respond to whatever nice one appears on top at the moment. It's not like there are THAT many replies, and the dates are distributed, not clustered around one date which would happen if it was hacked. Nothing there is controversial, and there's no further engagement beyond the single responses. (BTW, I may be a new fan, but I absolutely follow his tweets and interviews, even if I may not have had the great fortune to talk to him at a stagedoor like many of you).

Hugh usually uses his Twitter account to announce career-related events and shares personal aspects but to the general public, not on an individual basis, unless he is replying to or shouting out for a personal friend. Re using an assistant - I don't know if he still does that after the debacle on the "Sydney Opera Center" tweet As I said, it is a hunch on my part Jo

Re using an assistant - I don't know if he still does that after the debacle on the "Sydney Opera Center" tweet As I said, it is a hunch on my part Jo Perhaps it's a new thing he does, or something he's taken up while on this break. I don't know. It doesn't seem too crazy to imagine. Another possibility is that some of these people he responded to ARE people he's met. This doesn't seem wildly out of character, for instance: thanks much for the kind words. About to see Jake, Melissa and the great Denis this week. Looking forward to it. HJ (although of course, as we know, he didn't get to see them after all) As for using an assistant, that possibility came up because his account posted a tweet at the same time he was supposedly at the Change Begins Within event last week.

Sometimes you hear people talk about Hugh in the most unlikely places I was watching a talk show of one of the more popular hosts here -- she is very polished and can talk about anything from politics to national issues, social activism and entertainment. Comparing her to Christiane Amanpour's self-assured polish would not be too out of place...Her guest was a Filipino entertainer who was in the original cast of Miss Saigon in London and has appeared in many stage productions ( musical and drama) as well as concerts. Today the performer was talking about two concerts she will be involved in -- *She is doing a Paris Romance concert which will feature songs from Edith Piaf in French, English, and our national language ( Filipino). She actually sang three songs of Edith ( Padam, If You Love Me, and La Vie en Rose) and narrated how she played Edith on stage in the stage musical "Piaf" *She is also participating in a local two day concert on the Music of Boublil and Schonberg (Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, Pirate Queen, etc.,) for the benefit of the typhoon Haiyan victims, an initiative from the two French composers but packaged as a benefit concert for the stopover in Manila. She said that no one is going to accept any fees for the concert ( including Lea Salonga, etc) and all proceeds to go to the charity beneficiary. During some interaction with social media audience, someone asked about the preparation for a stage career. She talked about the discipline and commitment ( and of course presumably the presence of talent). She said that the stage is one of the best training for a career in entertainment, including film acting. All of a sudden the two started gushing excitedly about Hugh Jackman! How he really was a stage actor who also became a great film actor... and look at what he can do -- sing, dance, act, be sexy, everything!! LOL - they were fangirling, even if they are already quite prominent and well-respected in their own fields. smiley-love067Jo
