The only thought I had was maybe they put his consciousness into his younger self's body. I think they did something similar to that in the comics. Sue You are proved correct by the trailer! Nancy Yes, I noticed that too Explains a lot! I also was looking at the shirtless fight scene that the IMDB person mentioned as having adamantium claws but that's still inconclusive for me. So far frame by frame, each is a bit blurry, but the one shot I could see best looks like bone to me sooooo.....maybe not a continuity error...not a final decision yet though. Sue

Thanks, Sue smiley-signs101 Really intriguing why they billed his name this way. I may be wrong -- but I have never seen his name billed above the title, unless it is for a Broadway show ( mirroring what the marquee says and all its implications on refunds, etc.). It is also a solo above-the-title billing. Have they ever done this for movie stars like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, LeoDiCaprio, Julia Roberts, etc -- to have their names billed over a movie title? I don't think he is a producer for this movie, given that he joined in only after he had completed PRISONERS. Even when he is ( such as in ORIGINS and THE WOLVERINE), his billing was in the usual manner. Just wondering...and feeling elated for Hugh smiley-happy036 Jo

In only less than 24 hours from the time the trailer was released ( 19 hours, I think), there have been 3.20 million hits of the YouTube official release. This does not include other YT versions that have sprouted. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK2zYHWDZKoWow! Or course we do not know how often each fanboy/fangirl has watched the trailer Jo

LOL - I seem to have a "time displacement" issue ( as one fanboy calls the time travel theme in Days of Future Past) -- I thought I saw it earlier Jo

POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS**********POTENTIAL SPOILERS What is provoking some discussions on message boards was how important the venue of Paris was in the storyline. Some say that earlier during filming or thereabouts there was some buzz that Mystique was going to kill someone important there. Some people also relate it to the Paris meeting to end the Vietnam War. So, was there an attempt on the life of the US Secretary of State then? Was this the event that Wolverine will try to abort to change the future? There was also some speculations about Erik having been a US presidential assassin. I wonder how many of this is idle chatter or will they become part of the storyline, with or without the changes that Wolverine will try to bring about? Btw, in one frame, there is a reverse portrait of an important painting at the Louvre Museum. It is Eugene DelaCroix's painting called "Liberty Leading the People". This is one of the paintings which inspired the writing of the novel Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. When I saw this painting when I had the chance to visit the Louvre, which coincidentally was after I had seen the stage musical Les Miserables -- I exclaimed spontaneously upon that moment of recognition : " That's Gavroche!". You can see him in the reverse portrait on one of the screen caps. Interesting that the grey in Wolverine's hair ( which Singer unashamedly says he borrowed from the comics) was supposed to have happened not because he was advancing in age but because of the many problems that have faced him and giving him a very world-weary look! Ironically, in some recent photos of Hugh Jackman, even after he celebrated his 45th birthday, he is looking better and better, almost younger. Lol- the irony of life! Jo

The site has not updated in the last hour or so -- at the moment, the last update was at 4.85 million hits to the YouTube site which released the trailer, after only 24 hours of release. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK2zYHWDZKoIt could very well be in the 5 million range now. It is no wonder that the film business caters strongly to this demographics. One YT commenter posted that he/she watched the trailer the whole day - LOL! When the movie comes out, and if it pleases the fanbase, I wouldn't be surprised to read some overly eager fans say that they watched it everyday during the first week! Btw, when I tuned in to a local news channel today, the image that I first saw was that closeup of Patrick Stewart's eye...followed by the rest of the trailer. It was part of the entertainment news section. FOX must be spending a lot to create international awareness of the movie early on! Jo

Aren't he and Ian McKellan appearing on Broadway ( or is it off-Broadway) at the moment? Have you seen it, Ellen? Patrick's voiceover ( and Ian, too) in DAYS OF FUTURE PAST adds a level of class to a superhero movie. When you think of it, this movie cast is as awardee-laden as PRISONERS. It boasts of three Oscar winners ( Halle, Anna, and Jennifer - which is why Patrick quipped during the San Diego press conference that he only wants ladies roles, if they could ask for any role other than their own ) and quite a few Oscar nominees. Also, Patrick, Ian, Hugh, James also have regular theatre backgrounds. Not sure how often the others may have done theatre work, too. Jo

Yes, Jo. They are doing two plays in repertory on Broadway, WAITING FOR GODOT and NO MAN'S LAND. Shuler Hensley is co-starring in both. When/if Hugh visits, it'll be like old home week. The run only just began previews, so I haven't seen them yet. I've seen plenty of GODOTs, so I think I'll aim only for NO MAN'S LAND. Ellen

This looks like a poster but I don't know if it's an "official" one. It intrigues me because it clearly shows young Magneto/Eric in prison garb. When the JFK conspiracy video came up a couple weeks ago I remember thinking that they might have Magneto still be in prison when Wolverine shows up in '73 and that maybe he & Xavier break him out of prison. This picture makes me think that might be exactly what happens. Sue

The controversial international poster -- because James McAvoy is not on it! Someone said that it would be awkward visually to compose an image which includes two wheelchair-bound characters? Jo

This is the second photo I've seen where it appears that Professor X is walking. My son & I keep wondering how they are doing this. Has anyone heard/read any speculations/explanations about this? Curious... Sue

Well, who knows how the movie will explain it. But ... in the comics, I know of at least two explanations that were used there, at various times. a) He had some fancy mechanical leg braces to help him walk. b) His conscious mind was transferred to a healthy cloned body. Of course, the trick for the movie will be to have an explanation that seems "normal" in comics seem reasonable in the more "realistic" world of movies. So explanation a) might be the better bet, even though explanation b) seems like it may be used to explain how he's alive in the future - but in a wheelchair?!!. Or .... maybe they will build a fancy adamantium robot with drilling devices in its arms to suck Wolverine's healing factor out through his claws! Oh, wait. Already been done. So complicated! I really hope this movie all makes sense in the end. Time travel stories are always tricky.

You're right about the complexity of doing these time travel things so I'm with you in the hopes department. Everyone, including Hugh keeps saying this is the best of all of them, so I hope they're right & that all will be explained in a satisfying, reasonable, not too comic bookish way. They have already put some fans on alert with the cutting of Rogue scenes so the rest will have to be spectacular to satisfy those fans. Fingers crossed! Sue
