They are releasing 25 of these collector covers today. I'm making a folder but they are releasing them slowly so it'll take a while. So far there are 9! Sue

Shame he's let his body go all to hell, isn't it? Only thing I'd change is the exaggerated hair tips on each side of the head. Is he providing the stakes for a game of ring toss? Yeah, I know---it's Wolvie's '70s look. But still.... Ellen

The XMEN fanboys and fangirls are going crazy over the covers and saying that this is going to be the biggest superhero movie ever ( fanboy talk!) www.empireonline.com/xmen/True enough -- there were actually 23 on the cover ( I count the two Wolverines as one...and I don't know how Bryan Singer landed himself on the cover, too!). Wolverine fans are getting the best of both worlds -- Logan with bone claws and Wolverine with adamantium claws! I was trawling on the SuperHeroHype forum and had fun reading all the speculations, the spoilers that could be discerned, and even the how-can-that-be's and the what-if's. <cool> Memorial weekend is just a few months away ...and the XMEN are probably going on a super promotion tour a few weeks before Opening date! I wonder how much time Hugh will be available for that, if he is going to be filming PAN? Jo

Someone on the SHH forum posted one of the contents in the magazine -- which refers to the most intriguing question about the franchise -- how do the timelines unify or merge, based on the previous movies and DOFP? ************************************************************************************** **************************************************************************************Someone else on the SHH forum gives his own timeline interpretation of the INFOGRAPHICS -- Does the INFOGRAPHICS on the Empire issue explain it reasonably accurate? The magazine could be hard to come by ( except maybe in the UK and the USA). I have already put in a request for a copy directly with the supplier, preferably with any of the two Wolverines on the cover. Jo

Again, someone from the SHH form kindly uploaded most of the magazine's contents. One of the features -- Sorry, I am not able to put on a zoom-out feature for the article (Somebody, please help smiley-talk003)...although I did squint at it with the zoom-out feature on my laptop. *Is Hugh ready to hang up his claws? Not definitive -- it could happen but he hasn't ruled out that another film might tempt him again. *How will Shuler Donner and Fox persuade him not to say Goodbye to Wolverine? *Ironic that he is not wearing Wolvie's distinctive facial hair ( he looks like Keller Dover) on the photo -- a sign of the future?? The original comic books had Kitty being sent back in time. The character was changed to Wolverine for the time travel because of timeline continuity ( age of Kitty would not fit). Ellen Page's comments --

In the background, lying on a special table/structure, that looks like Wolverine as Kitty tries to send him back to the 70's, with Iceman hovering? On the foreground, that looks like one of the most powerful scenes in the movie, when Professor Xavier tries to persuade his younger self to open up his mind ( we picked up that scene in the first trailer). There is mention that there are Two LIMITED edition covers -- Is this the other one - somewhat like a twin cover?

Jo, is there a link to the posts where you found the infographics? I'd like to see if I can glean a bigger image from the source code...also those two special covers. Thanks Sue

Sue, *For the infographics -- I found it originally as post # 131 of a current topic on the SuperHeroHype forum ( I enjoy reading much of the discussions there, as in the past for other XMEN movies). forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=472775&page=6I am not sure if the poster found the online magazine link ( if it is already up) or he simply scanned the photo from the hard copy. Then someone posted a three-part expanded version of the infographcs which was derived from the first post. But it looks like someone else updated his post and showed another expanded copy -- Is this okay now? Or you may want to expand it further as it is still "squint" territory *For the Limited Edition covers -- I found this tweet from a Fassbender fansite twitter account -- /photo/1 The second one, which I speculated could be the twin cover was supposedly also featured on Empire and also uploaded on the SuperHeroHype forum. But it does not say that it is one of a limited edition of 2 collector's covers. I'm not even sure if the TWO LIMITED EDITION COLLECTOR'S COVERS is for real -- or simply a good photoshop job by the Fassbender fan Here's the second photo, uploaded on the SHH Forum -- that message board is very busy and very excited and is multiplying its posting pages fast - LOL! forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=472775&page=14Please scroll down to Post # 343. There is much speculation on whether ROGUE ( Anna Paquin) is part of DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, because Bryan Singer said that the scene with Rogue was recently edited out. Yet the cover photo with Rogue is part of the 25 covers for the Empire special issue. Since the info on the edit was sometime ago ( more than a month, at least), Empire could have been advised to exclude that cover ( although that would have meant scampering for another character or real person to replace that cover - they already used a real-life character, Bryan Singer, as part of the series which was meant to celebrate a 25th anniversary at Empire!).
If Rogue is not put back in the film ( a lot of complaints from fans about the deletion), some say that the ROGUE cover will become the REAL collector's item in the parade of XMEN covers!

Kathy, Sorry, but I can't find the video. But I think I have an idea of the major spoiler -- Is this the spoiler where Mystique was involved in the assassination of JFK? It was part of a set of spoilers discussed in the SuperHeroHype forum, which was supposedly taken down at the studio's orders? Although in that set of spoilers, many posters did not find many of them credible...and some thought were just "invented" by the one who wrote them up. Who knows? Although the JFK/Mystique connection has been mentioned since the time of the first trailer -- it could be one of the real spoilers?...Although I need to appreciate how the relatively-idealistic Mystique at that time -- I am assuming that it was only a relatively short time from the Bay of Pigs conflict, when Mystique left Charles Xavier to join up with Eric/Magneto -- might have been motivated to assassinate the President. Was there supposed to have been a connection between her and Lee Oswald? Jo

In the Empire issue is a lengthy interview with Bryan Singer about his involvement with the franchise. Someone on the SHH forum kindly re-uploaded it to make it easily readable ( many XMEN fanboys and fangirls are now walking around with "squinty" eyes - LOL!) forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=472775&page=38Please scroll down to Post # 926 and # 929. I find it interesting that of the 3 key decisions which Bryan says were made by himself for the first XMEN movie, this included the decision to cast Hugh as Wolverine! To think that he rejected Hugh's audition initially! Had Lauren Shuler Donner not "persuaded" him about Hugh's audition tape, maybe the franchise would not have caught the interest of fans of the "serious type of comicbook movies"! And now, Hugh/Wolverine bridges the gap between the two XMEN worlds. That is even observed in how the lineup was introduced at the ComicCon ( Hugh was introduced between the two sets of cast, right next to Bryan Singer). In the Empire set of 25 covers, Hugh as Wolverine occupies # 11 and # 13, with Bryan Singer portrayed in the # 12 cover. Jo

Thanks, Kathy smiley-signs101 In the new rounds of spoilers being discussed, it is supposed to be Mystique. Also, some people were speculating that it was Mystique based on the first trailer - I am not sure how that was figured out I guess we'll have to wait till close to end-May to find out Jo

More interesting tidbits from the Empire Magazine feature --
*First one was referred to by a poster on the SHH forum --
I am hoping that Hugh is one of those actors with a creative deal -- maybe one promised re the filmization of GREATEST SHOWMAN ON EARTH ?
Unless it is about the possible sequel for The Wolverine with James Mangold?
*There has also been mentioned that some reshoots will be made for a few days in Montreal. Also, separately, there has been some buzz that Hugh and Jennifer will be in those reshoots.
I guess when he starts growing his beard for PAN, he may use the opportunity to go up to Montreal for the few days of reshoots for DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

First, thanks Jo for your efforts with the graphic! <hug> I tried enlarging the biggest one in my image program but blowing it up too much made the text too funky to read. An in between size let me read some of it...enough to get the gist. About the Bent Bullet theory... That video was first sent out in November and the people involved in the movie even made a bentbullet.com site so this has been around for a while. Here's the video for anyone who couldn't find the one on IMDB: I remember discussing it, don't recall if it was here or with my son, but there were images to suggest that Magneto was broken out of prison by Wolverine & Professor X after future Wolvie takes over 70's Wolvie's consciousness... also since the whole premise of the movie stated early on was that Wolverine is sent back in time to prevent some big event I assume it has something to do with Magneto's arrest. Just my 2cents of course! Sue
