I know, I noticed and I am happy I am one of the two people in the world who doesn´t want Hugh to do Houdini for many reasons. One of them is a pure selfish reason - he will be away from the screen and I won´t be able to see him (probably). The second one is that I never really liked the idea of another biographical musical. Peter Allen *was* an entertainer and a perfect material for a musical but Houdini...well, he was also an entertainer, actually, but it just doesn´t go together with singing and dancing. I hope for Hugh´s sake it will be really good because to make a good original musical is difficult. As for London - it is much more easier, faster and cheaper for me to get to London I can actually take only one day off at work and get back within 48 hours, which is great. I can take my fancy clothes to the plane, go to the theater and get undressed at home again, without even staying somewhere over night I know London so I don´t need to take it as "I want to see the place while I am here" It would be nice next Spring, because it would be also an ideal weather for travelling

NPH mentioned Hugh in his mid-show song number, as part of the song.

Cross-posted from the Oklahoma! thread ( where the full article is reprinted) -- www.sys-con.com/node/2823798It looks like this version has become the more popular one that is being reprised to observe the landmark musical's landmark anniversay ( 70 years old!). Jo

If I'm not mistaken, that Nov. 15 date is almost exactly ten years (minus a week) to the date it was first shown on PBS. Nice way to mark that anniversary as well. .

A repeat of the last time Hugh was on the "Tonight Show" (in September) is scheduled for tonight. I'm hoping Leno has his favorite guests on his final show and includes Hugh.

Cross-posted from the POSTSCRIPTS TO LES MISERABLES thread --
I am hoping that Hugh is considered as the principal vocalist with enough contribution to the album ( the deluxe edition of the album is the nominated album) to qualify him for a personal Grammy award!

Jo He has Emmy and Tony. A Grammy would be leg three of the EGOT with only the Oscar left to win. We all know he deserves it, but would love to see it happen soon. Oops I see you beat me to this in earlier messages. So just an echo ..... that would be a major WHOOPIE!!!!

Does anyone know when Hugh Jackman is set to appear on Spike TV's show Ink Master. I heard he was expected to make an appearance, but I see nothing about it anywhere.

The Kumars At No 42 ended several years ago. It's been revamped, came back in Jan and it's actually now called just The Kumars. Apparently in the new show they have moved, hence the name change. There have been about a half dozen episodes and no indication of which one Hugh is on. I haven't found it yet from any of my sources but I'll keep looking. I have seen a couple of the old shows and it is funny and different from anything else on TV. I saw a recent interview with Sanjeev & Meera where they talked about the new show. Seems like it will be very similar to the old one, but in a smaller apartment. It would be nice if BBCAmerica would run it! Until then I'll keep hunting! Sue

Hugh was shown for a hot second or two at the beginning of last evening's INK MASTER, but it appeared to be a preview of an upcoming episode.

There were only 6 episodes in this shortened season, and he had a cameo in the last one. He wasn't an actual guest, so that's why he didn't show up in the episode summaries. I'm not in the UK, so I haven't seen it, but I saw several tweets and even some short news blurbs about it. I haven't had any luck finding any clip of what sounds like his very brief moment on-line. Don't know if anybody has Sky, but I expect it is probably available for on-line viewing by now for subscribers.

Well my son is 48 & not sorry about his tattoos. He also has a thriving tattoo studio. He only hires the best artists and that's what they are, artists. You have to be an artist first. He also has some of his strait art works on the walls of his studio. While I personally would never get a tattoo...terrified of needles...I've seen enough of the art over the years to appreciate it for art's sake. Sue

I guess a lot of tattoos are really well-done artistically speaking. I guess. What I always think, though, is that here are people with clear, smooth skin, and they mark it all up. And there are others of us with visible veins and spots on our skin, and we wish it was clear and smooth...

Hugh made another TV "appearance"... of sorts... Today on The Talk Olivia Newton-John was the guest. They all dressed up with Olivia's different looks through her roles and hits, right down to the hair! Even 'Danny Zuko' was there. It was hilarious: www.youtube.com/watch?v=33gTlWu3n6II'm sure you can catch the entire episode up there on thetalk.com, though I can only see short clips on YouTube. At one point, they mentioned fellow aussie Hugh Jackman, and showed a picture of him with Olivia. They asked Olivia if she remembered what Hugh had said about her: that every day for years when he got to school, he would kiss Olivia's picture (which he kept in his desk). Olivia said that Hugh is a beautiful human being. She will be in Vegas for several months opening April 8, and part of her earnings will go towards her Cancer and Wellness Centre. Wonder if Hugh and Deb will take a quick trip to catch her show, and support her cause? Anyone else planning on seeing her in Vegas? I like her. One of my favorite songs of hers is an oldie from her "country" days, titled "Something Better to Do." www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgCQcSAThvs Alma

As much as I hate "reality" shows I started to watch the tattoo one because I wanted to see the context in which Hugh would be judging later. After a few minutes I decided to watch tomorrow when I can fast forward to Hugh's entrance. Very disappointed in what he's actually being asked to judge! I'm thinking he must have thought what I thought when I first saw the announcement, that he would be judging X-Men tattoos. It turns out to be something kind of stupid...my son thought so too...so I have no desire to watch them doing it and eliminating each other until the last few that Hugh will judge. Congrats to anyone who manages to watch this all the way through! I do hate "reality" shows. Sue

Is this the winning tattoo image? Jo I see they did do X-Men characters after all! Glad for Hugh that he got to judge that. I'm sure that made it fun for him. I still haven't watched it except for the first few minutes last night. I'll catch it later...at least Hugh's part. This article describes the whole thing: www.pennlive.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2014/03/ink_master_season_4_episode_5.html I guess viewers can still vote for the best one...that's one of the things that make these shows contrary to reality! smiley-rolleyes010 Sue
