It takes a lot for me to tune into a so-called "reality" show (which we all know are basically scripted). Leave it to Hugh to get me to watch a tattoo show, no less. He was on for only about three minutes, but boy, did he exude charm. No surprise, of course. Sudden thought: Would he spout effusive praise if his kids someday wanted to be "inked"? Somehow, I doubt it. Ellen

He was on for only about three minutes, but boy, did he exude charm. No surprise, of course. Sudden thought: Would he spout effusive praise if his kids someday wanted to be "inked"? Somehow, I doubt it. Ellen I don't think he'd mind. He's spoken several times about admiring some tattoos he's been shown and even said in a couple interviews that he wouldn't be surprised if Ava got one someday. I don't think he personally would get one, but I don't think it's because he has an aversion to the art. People tend to forget that except for cave painting, it's the oldest art form there is. I finally watched the second half of the show. While I hate reality shows, I enjoyed watching the efforts in doing the portraits and of course Hugh's part was the best. I liked the winning Wolvie portrait and also thought the portrait of Professor X was extremely well done. The group was correct in their assessments of the worst ones. My son does do a lot of portraits and not every artist can do them well. Some of them are just terrible. My son has to fix work done by other artists quite often. Word does get out when someone is good at portraits. You'd be surprised at the number of people who want portraits done, not only of characters but of family members, especially children and, oddly, deceased relatives! Sue

Hugh was the "easy" (topmost) question/answer in a category entitled The Aussie Posse on JEOPARDY tonight. Something like: "2008 was a great year for the star of AUSTRALIA and People's Sexiest Man Alive." This was a tournament of champions of various decades. Only one person chimed in, a woman. She said, tentatively, "Who is Jackman?" Maybe she forgot his first name. At any rate, at least she didn't say "Jackson."

Hugh has been around (here) since 2000 in X-Men and there are still so many people who have no clue who he is!! Nancy

Didn't quite know where to put this, but who caught Modern Family last night? They went to Australia and Hugh Jackman was mentioned more than once by Mitchell & Cam! If you get a chance, watch it online--very funny episode!

Yes, it was. I like MODERN FAMILY anyway, so this was just icing--er, Vegemite--on the cake. Love the bits about his "skimpy bathing suit" and Mitchell and Cam's reaction to "deck" as spoken by a Kiwi.

I was kind of hoping that Cam's search for Hugh in first class would result in a surprise cameo. It was a funny episode nevertheless!

It sure brought back a lot of fond memories from last year. The helicoptergoing over the heart reef. It rainrd for our 5 days on Phillips Island. And were the underwater shots really the reef. When we went as tourists, the boat that we were on wouldn't let us get that close. Guess we'll just have to go again, and you can always hope to be on the same plane with Hugh.

That's supposed to be Magneto in costume! I think Ian McKellen will magnetize whoever designed it Jo

How Hugh and Dolph kept a straight face in the ring with that bargain store "Magneto" I don't know. But Hugh did seen to be having a good time, especially after flipping that bozo. I'm just glad it's over now.

Broadwayworld.com reports that Hugh will be a guest sometime in May, the date as yet unspecified. I'm thinking probably May 22 or 23, just in time for the opening of DoFP.

Ellen,
Isn't it amazing that Hugh will be the toast of all entertainment branches in the next few weeks or so --
*On TV - with RAW, with various talk shows, in entertainment sites on TV, with many media interviews.
*In film - worldwide premieres soon unfolding ( including the big one in NYC - what did they think this event was -- ComicCon -- with the Javits convention center hosting it -LOL!)...I can't wait to see the box office numbers. Also, Hugh has now become the face of the DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, with the absence of Bryan Singer.
*On the stage/TV - hosting the TONYs - I am all excited as to what might be in store smiley-cool13

My wish has been immediately granted -- someone put up the segment on YouTube! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iksv5n-OCJU&feature=youtube_gdata_playerLOL - when he did the hiptoss - something else clicked on my mind. I remembered Curly flipping Laurey in his arms and over his shoulder, as they did the dance ballet. Hugh has had some practice Jo

Ah, what I'll do catch sight of Hugh. Watching RAW is so painful. Is it a guy thing or do I just plain hate it? Hugh seemed to be having fun. Anxious for more PR stops for the new movie on more civilized programs. Sorry to sound like such a stuffed shirt, but REALLY!

Anxious for more PR stops for the new movie on more civilized programs. Sorry to sound like such a stuffed shirt, but REALLY! I'm totally with you on the wrestling thing. Didn't watch it. Not even for Hugh. <awww> I'm sure he had fun - he's good at that, but this is right up (down) there with that dreadful "reality" show where they made him think he destroyed a friend's home. Not my cup of tea, to put it mildly. Though I do realize it is a smart publicity move in relation to the upcoming X-Men movie, I'll wait for The Tonys and pass on the wrestling.

Here's one official talk show appearance that I'm looking forward to: Sat, May 10, 11:15 PM The Graham Norton Show-New I really enjoy that show when someone I know is on it and especially Hugh! He was on last time I think with Billy Chrystal and it was great to see them interacting! As for the wrestling... smiley-rolleyes010 I'm in the don't watch it club! Like last time, I'll only look at his few minutes on YouTube...barely but I can grin and bear it for a few minutes to watch him having fun. He does so enjoy himself on these silly shows! Lord knows why... <anyone> Maybe it's a guy thing like caligirl said! Sue
