Other than for promoting his latest project, Hugh sometimes tweets on his whereabouts or whatabouts --
*To visit his MUM in Norfolk(although she was already at the London premiere of The Wolverine - seated on the front row)?
*To do his secret taping of TOP GEAR?
*To show off his piloting skills? This reminds me of how he helped take the controls of the small plane for the tour of SYDNEY HARBOUR during the promo for AUSTRALIA?

I wonder what kind of car he drove?
And he did he top the leaderboard ( must be a bucket wish for him) - Lol! He has really tried his hand in many a sport!
I have to hunt where they show TOP GEAR here - I am no longer sure it is still being featured on our BBC channel.

I thought it was like "boules", a game usually played in France and some other countries in Europe, because it is played outdoors and the ball looks compact and heavy. In this photo, it does seem a little similar to either sport. Jo

In this photo, it does seem a little similar to either sport. A very popular sport in Australia, mainly played by retirees, not younger people. Interesting that he is bowling right handed. He must be ambidextrous. Jo

One of the most delightful perks to Hugh as a celebrity must be his being taken or going to the best restaurants in the world, especially so because he is a confessed foodie. Yum!
I have only been to the French side of that area in the world ( Biarritz) but I am sure the food is a cross between two distinct cuisines athough they must also take after another. I can still remember the taste of the heavenly pistou soup we had taken with a meal in Biarritz!

He's presumably going to Europe ( England, most likely?). But what could that childhood dream be? See a favorite sports team play?
Some are speculating that he may be planning to do his one-man show there?
This is likely not a family vacation because there is no school break at the moment?

Maybe because of the Rugby League World Cup 2013: Saturday 26th October, MILLENNIUM STADIUM, CARDIFF, WALES Australia v England? He does love his sport!

That's probably it! England vs Australia for a rugby league match. www.rlwc2013.com/fixturesI once went to Cardiff to watch a Michael Ball concert ( he thought us how to sing BREAD OF HEAVEN, the song of Wales, as there was going to be a match in London the following day). On the way back the following morning, we rode the train back to London with what must have been the entire nation of Wales in that train. Singing, cheering, and drinking ( early in the morning - yeah ) but everyone was having fun. When we got off Paddington Station, the large group kept singing while they went off to see their favorite team play the English Rose team. When the Cardiff Millennium Stadium was inaugurated, they had three of Wales best singers doing the inaugural singing honors - Bryn Terfel, Shirley Bassey and Michael Ball ( who is half-Welsh)! Bread of Heaven is also known as the hymn "Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer". Jo

The Six Nations as it is now is rugby union, this World Cup is rugby league, which has slightly different rules! There are many arguments as to which is better! As far as I remember from interviews, Hugh had to play union at school, but supported the league teams - I could be wrong!

Hugh is a true sports nut - not just watching spectator games but being an athlete himself.
Wales has a very beautiful countryside - I bet he is taking the train to Cardiff, unless there is a direct flight from New York?

Blenheim Palace - is this a new place right inside Churchill's ancestral palatial home? Or just a joint named after the historical landmark? Hmm... I bet he loved singing with Billy Joel! It must have been an impromptu performance of a pop song??

I wonder - could this have been a professional engagement for Hugh? Could the childhood dream be the opportunity to sing with Billy Joel?

More tantalizing tweets -- Sounds like he did part of his one man show so I'm thinking this was a booked engagement not an impromptu call-up. Strange that there was no publicity though. I wonder if it was an invitational event as opposed to one open to the public. Curious Sue

That must have cost a pretty penny! My dream birthday party would be to have Paul McCartney as the entertainment. He charges $1,000,000 though! Nancy
