Anyone know what's going on with Hugh's instagram account? At the moment,it is gone! Wonder if it has to do with the imposter issues?
This is unsettling!

I know -- it's been gone at least for a day. His Facebook account is OK. I have a little problem with MY Twitter account so I could not check if that is OK, too.

It looks like his most popular Instagram post to-date is the one showing him rehearsing the tap dance number for The Music Man.

It has garnered 5.756 million views so far.

A previous post showing him with tap dance shoes for his music tour garnered over 3 million views ( maybe 3.4 million)

At least social media discussions on Hugh are fairly ok.

It is really in some other topics where social media has become toxic.

*Especially true for sports fandoms. Insults, deserved or not, are being thrown around freely. I was surprised to read some form of reverse racism ( they hate a champion because he is blond-ish and white ). Also, someone said their champion is booed in court because he is from Eastern Europe. It seems it is not sports itself that is being condemned but the players' identities. I thought sports was one of the great levelers.

*Also true for political discussions and geopolitical issues

*Also true for universal issues like climate change, health issues like covid/vaccinations, etc., ecological issues (energy sources)


Will the introduction of META'S "THREADS" diffuse some of the hostility?

HughJackman handles his social media messages well( mass comm grad). Some are career updates,some are advocacies or stuff he comes across & likes, and occasional moments from his personal life(it seems this photo is one of them). Also a keen nature observer& shares those photos.

Hugh Jackman's name is being linked to a ploy by a Youtuber trying to create some controversy re the Princess Kate issue with those who supposedly dissed her present health issues.

Many people are silly enough to think HJ is guilty of trying to be part of a scheme supposedly by WME, the large talent agency of whom HJ is one of the earliest clients ( under Patrick Whitesell) --to create this controversy.


I have put together a series of posts on "X" to discuss Hugh Jackman's involvement in social media and his public announcements/pronouncements.

Here's a list of Whitesell clients - you mean to say all the big names like Affleck/Bale/MDamon/DWashington/WGoldberg, etc., just because they are longtime clients of WME/Whitesell should also be condemned?

WME is likely the largest talent agency in the world.
Here's theWME Story on their growth. You will note that Whitesell is noted to have joined it in 2000 because of his motion pictures expertise. Pls note the photo of HughJackman among his early clients.

This is how Hugh somehow got caught up in it. He commented on Blake Lively's deleted post that was joking about the hubbub surrounding the photoshopped family picture and was accused of (and apologized for) making light of a serious situation. Poor Hugh's comment had NOTHING to do with any of that and was just asking for a link to order Betty Buzz drinks.

Social media has become such a vehicle that has made people throw hurtful comments without caring if they are just being mean or not...or even have a truthful basis. Not just in this case. And some of these "influencers"/"You-tubers"do not care if they say anything that attracts attention - so long as they get their clicks.
I wonder if WME will do anything about it?

Hugh had a go which I find dissappointing but he is a republican and think we shouldn’t have a monarchy ( which is his right ).
He has a joke on a Blake lovely’s drink ad
So quite low key

Some people commenting rudely when there is even no link to the controversy that is being discussed.
