Let the CHAPPIE chatter begin? I have a feeling the movie may come up as a topic of conversation when Hugh returns to Fallon March 5. I'm assuming he will be making the usual round of other talk shows, too. Here we go!

Thanks for the heads-up about the Tonight show, Ellen! Chappie opens March 6, they said after the trailer, so yeah, that must be part of the "promotional rounds"... Alma

www.indiewire.com/article/neill-blomkamp-returns-with-the-almost-human-chappie-20150210Arghh...so Hugh's accent is based on 'Strine -LOL! But what Neill saying about "the idea of people being themselves in films" -- he obviously has not seen many of Hugh's media sessions. Does he know Hugh went to a posh school (Knox) and has two degrees ( one in communications and another in drama) and that he was raised in a semi-English household. Hope the dialogs are not too much of a caricature Jo

In this new poster, the billing for the movie is shown. Hugh gets an "ET" ( it is a French poster), aka "AND" billing. Jo

Borrowed from an IMDB post ( re some early word on the movie...and maybe some appreciation of why it has landed an R rating -- Partly Hugh's fault Jo

It has a worldwide release schedule, including Chinese speaking countries or cities ( Taiwan, Hongkong), other parts of Southeast Asia which have large Chinese populations...but the release in China has not been announced, if ever. www.imdb.com/title/tt1823672/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ov_inf+We (Philippines) get the movie a day ahead of the USA release date. Jo, as per your question, Hugh did indeed chop veggies in THE RIVER with his right hand. He seems to do certain things, such as writing, with his left, but other activities with his right. But he appears to be primarily a southpaw.

Thanks, Ellen. Maybe because he may have been asked to use the right hand as the dominant hand in certain movies (and have been asked to put his wristwatch on his right hand) - he has become a little more ambidextrous. Check out the position of the gun holster and his wrist watch -- When he was training for Blackbeard -- The hammer scene from PRISONERS -- Interestingly, in THE WOLVERINE, he uses his left hand while eating ( spoon or chopsticks) -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdESre0lDskIs Wolverine/Logan supposed to be left-handed? I wonder how he plays his sports where there is a dominant hand ( tennis, golf, etc). Jo
