Yesterday's was the closing performance. HJ must have gotten house seats or the reserved equivalent for celebs because the show has been sold out for some time. I kept trying on Today Tix rush but was never successful. I hope the loud laugh meant he enjoyed it.

I believe another actor in the production is a former BF of Deb’s , no? Tom Burlinson

Did Hugh get to watch THE ATHEIST off-Broadway?

He also performed in WSS as a 20 year old, in a community theatre production in Sydney.

Yes, I remember that, too But I wonder if he also knew ( he must have) that the original THE MUSIC MAN production on Broadway beat the original stage production of WEST SIDE STORY for the TONY Best Musical in the 1957 season This time, the 2 revivals are being staged in 2 different Broadway seasons Hope the revival of The Music Man gets much better reviews than the revival of West Side Story which earned mixed reviews ( incl Ben Brantley of the NYTimes)! But the music of WSS is so loved that if I get to see it -- that is what I might consider as the reason. Jo

Some photos shared by JackmansLanding -- Shereen plays Maria ( who has been praised for her singing). Natalie Wood played Maria in the film adaptation. There was something fragile in her persona which made her interpretation of the tragic Maria as heartbreaking. Just my personal take. Jo

Isaac played Tony -- whose serenade to "Maria" is one of theatre's most glorious songs!

From his Instagram Stories -- The play is closing soon - on March 15. It was stage sensation in London...but failed to find its audience ( enough to sustain a run till at least TONY time) on Broadway. Here's a full review from VULTURE -- www.vulture.com/2019/11/theater-review-the-inheritance-on-broadway.html*I wonder if Hugh related to it so much because it reminded him of Peter Allen and The Boy from Oz, in terms of the theme? *It is a 2 -part marathon play. Hugh must have sat through it the whole time. Jo
