I will never forget Lea's story about how she and Maria Friedman were sighing all over the place at the sight and sound of this new musical theatre leading man rehearsing OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNIN' for the Cameron Mackintosh tribute concert. They all eventually sang together at the finale.

It looks like Hugh was escorting Pat Schoenfeld at MY FAIR LADY premiere. From Hugh himself --

In L.A. -- maybe he thought his folks were not in NYC? I wonder - did Hugh hum or sing along very softly

It got away from me, too! The Carnegie Hall concert of CAROUSEL was around June 2002 -- I travelled to NYC a few months later.

Just read on PLAYBILL.com that Roundabout is planning a 2019 revival of KISS ME KATE directed by Warren Carlyle., and starring Kelly O'Hara. No other casting is announced. I wonder who we would cast as the male lead? Anyone have a suggestion?

If a certain person would consider revivals, he'd be cast perfectly as Fred Gray-ham (as the thugs call him) and Petruchio. If only. Even for just a very limited run.

http://instagram.com/p/BkbGDg7DdMM How many Broadway royalty walks around the theatre district like any other tourist (domestic or overseas), looking for their show of choice. New Yorkers always have the look of someone in a hurry and wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle of Times Square
