Just watched this and it was wonderful! Can't blame those folks in the pub who were in tears. What a thrill! Carol I visited that pub in 2011, and also inside Paul’s home and Penny Lane in 2011 and 2016. The statues were put up in 2015, so of course saw them in 2016! James Corden said that was the best carpool karaoke and a highlight of his life going around Liverpool with Paul. Nancy

Got tickets to see Paul McCartney in Greenville, SC (only 1 hour and 50 minutes north of me on I-85) May 30, 2019! Got seats fairly close on 1st level up, row 4. My friend from Nashville will be going with me. Prior to the concert (May 23-27) we will be going to the Beatles/‘60s festival Abbey Road On The River near Louisville, KY! Paul’s new album, Egypt Station, drops Sept. 7th, and the new John Lennon stamp comes out the same day! Oh, and Paul will be on Jimmy Fallon Sept. 6th, but it starts late because of a football game, so set your DVR with added time!

Today is the 38th anniversary of the murder of John Lennon. Hard to believe - seems like yesterday! I was 25 and cried for 2 weeks! 😢 Nancy The murder of John Lennon affected me in a similar way as the vivid memory of my mother confirming (when asked) that Santa Claus wasn't real. End of a chapter. The next would be the assassination of JFK, followed by RFK. All ends of an era of innocence.

Kelly, I too have vivid memories of all those assassinations (And MLK was in April right before RFK in June 1968) (I figured out the Santa Claus thing on my own at about age 7. That revelation didn’t bother me.) When George Harrison died, we had a few years to prepare, so it was sad, but not as devastating as John. I think I’ll have to be sedated when Paul dies!
