Thinking of Peter on his birthday. It is so hard to believe he would have been 70 years old today.

I have a feeling that had illness not claimed him, he'd still be shakin' his maracas at 70--and beyond. Gone way too soon.

Peter said once that he couldn't see himself shakin' his maracas when he was 80 years old, but I honestly don't believe that it would have been a problem for him at 70. He spread so much joy during his short time with us. As sad as it is that he is gone, I still can't think of him without smiling.

Already listened to "I Go to Rio" to usher in another birthday nod to Peter. Happy 71st birthday!

The past week, GLEE featured songs by Burt Bacharach. I was pleased when "Arthur (The Best That You Can Do)" was included. All these years later and we are still listening to Peter's music and getting a thrill out it.
Thinking of you, Peter, on your birthday.

71 years old - and I bet he'd still be shaking his maracas! Not that I need any added incentive to listen to Peter, but he'll be singing all day at my house. [Aside: Keyserfan - did you see the Glee episode with Not The Boy Next Door?]

Sure did, and I screamed with delight! It was such a surprise.

It's always a pleasure to hear one of Peter's songs when you're not expecting to. His music is a gift to us that we can always cherish and enjoy. I never seem to tire of listening to it.

Revisited his bio this morning as I got ready for work. What a fabulous talent he was, gone way too soon.

It was so nice to see a post from Liza on what would/should have been Peter's 72nd birthday. (Does anyone know - does she do that every year?) I'm looking forward to hearing "I Go To Rio" played frequently at the upcoming Summer Olympics. Miss you, Peter. Always will.

What a sweet picture of Peter and Liza, and I'm not surprised to see her remember him in this way. They truly did love each other, and stayed close through the years.
Peter really did "Make every moment count," and I'm so glad that we were able to be a part of that journey. They broke the mold after he was born.

The friend who sent me the message follows her on Facebook, and has for years. He has never pointed this out to me before. It was so nice to see a post from Liza on what would/should have been Peter's 72nd birthday. (Does anyone know - does she do that every year?)

Happy birthday dear Peter. Your stay was far too short, but you left behind your wonderful music and memories of the joy that always filled your performances. That's qute a legacy.

Awwww, such a little cutie. I was listening to Peter today (not a rare occurrence here) and I got to thinking about all the lovely people I met because Hugh Jackman decided to do a play more than a decade ago. Peter is truly the gift that keeps on giving. I'm sorry we had him for such a short time, but I'm always grateful that we had him. He would/should have been 73 today. Keep shaking those maracas, Pete. We love you.

Even at 73, I'll bet Peter would still be kicking up those heels. Gone way, way too soon. But what happy moments he created for us.
