Today, October 16, marks the 20th anniversary of TBFO’s opening night. What wonderful memories we have of that fabulous 2003-2004 season! And what an amazing journey through Hugh fandom it’s been for us these two decades.

Onward and upward.

Some discussions on "X" social media on why James Marsden has never been put in the spotlight as Hugh Jackman was exposed to in the XMen franchise. Someone said that he should have a career like Hugh Jackman since they are both song-and-dance men and were doing action movies. Someone piped in that his agent is to blame.

That was the role of Peter Allen's lover in TheBoyFromOz on Broadway! The role catapulted Hugh Jackman to the top of the theatre world ( a Tony win& fan acclaim),while the role of the lover gets to sing some memorable songs " I Honestly Love You", with excellent acting scenes.

That is true - I remember it was Hugh himself who asked James if he would be interested to do Broadway in the role of his lover ( role eventually went to Jarrod Emick). Lol - he would get to kiss Hugh Jackman in every performance - LOL!

This was so long ago - the show opened in 2003 and ran for a year! He also brought it to Australia as an arena show. Lol - for a long time, HJ fans wore the trademark leopard spots on any piece of apparel 😂

I was wearing the leopard spots(an old silk YSL blouse) when I 1st saw the show. At that time,photo ops for BwayCares were relatively inexpensive -so up the stage we went after the show to have HJ take a photo w/ 3 of us (no extra charge)& have a little chat. Lol -such memories🤩

I still have the signed Polaroid photo with his Message of Thanks.

Later on, I had the photo reproduced in a larger size ( my companions were my sister and my niece in the photo) and when I saw Hugh again at another time, requested him to sign the larger one.

I still have the silk blouse - I did let out the seam -- but it is a beautiful one and has worn very well.
