Twenty-eight big numbers? Sounds like they're determined to fill those huge arena stages. Should be something to see--and hopefully have preserved on a (preferably) legit DVD.

It seems that he is now seriously bulking up now for the Wolverine movie(s)!  Ironically, he tends to lose weight when he does stage shows with a lot of dance and song numbers. Although for TBFO, he did deliberately lose a lot of weight while in rehearsals because it makes him more lithe as a dancer. This time, his commitment to start filming Wolverine 3 (and maybe even a cameo-ish role in Apocalypse) early in 2016 is pushing him towards an early muscle bulk-up! Jo |

One of the most delightful parts of Back on Broadway was his interaction with the audience, during the show and at the BC/EFA auction. I have just recounted a story at Broadwayworld Message board ( on the thread re the current BC/EFA collection) about one particular happy interaction which I saw.
Voila - the mother ( who seems to be a journalist) just posted the photo of that happy encounter.
Will one happy Aussie boy or girl have a similar experience in BROADWAY TO OZ?

Will Hugh consider filming the show now?
*It seems that BACK ON BROADWAY is being revisited and revised. Interesting that new numbers, such as the Nile Rodgers creation, may refocus the show towards material that has more popular appeal?
*It seems that the show may be focusing on spectacle related to arenas rather than proscenium-stage shows.
*Even if he brings the show back to NYC or London and other major cities -- there is nothing like a live show, compared to a filmed version.

Singin' in the rain ? It was the piano which tipped it off - I couldn't place it initially but the melody played by the accompanist was stubborn. So, I looked up Gene Kelly's version and sure enough -- that was the famous intro Did I get it right? Ellen ? Jo |
