Based on the clips and the photos of the various production numbers, the tech rehearsal for this show must have been tremendous!
Where can you mount something similar in NYC? But even if a venue is feasible, the cost of mounting such a huge show ( with that 150-member cast and orchestra complement) may be non-affordable in NYC ( maybe Madison Square Garden, because the show looks good in the round?) and still be able to charge the kind of prices charged in Australia? Same would be true in London, if this show with that kind of production values is mounted at the Royal Albert Hall.

Fantastic dancing by Hugh in the SINGIN' IN THE RAIN number I could watch it again and again -- simply superb! A transfer of the stage musical playing in Paris has been announced for Broadway. Maybe they should ask Hugh first if he is interested to do the musical Jo

Too many lovely compliments on Twitter to post all of them here!
One fan compared him to Frank Sinatra for being an overall and perfect entertainer -- that is a real compliment!

Lol -- I posted the link (given by hughmanity) to Hugh's SINGIN' IN THE RAIN number on a thread on Broadwayworld called "Harvey Weinstein to bring SINGIN' IN THE RAIN to Broadway". Some forty minutes later, the link was featured on BWW's daily news update And now it's on Twitter and on other theatre sites! Thanks, hughmanity Jo

SCOOP!!!Posted by Ness Cryer -- Now I am really jealous *green-eyed icon* *I hope this confirms that the project will be filming soon *So, that is what the long white jacket ( looks like a souped-up tuxedo) he is wearing for the first time ( none of that on Back on Broadway) is for! He is probably trying to give us an idea of how impresario P.T.Barnum looked like in his day! *And I guess Hugh's back-up singers/dancers are supposed to represent circus performers ? If the film shoots in Australia, will they have a crack at some of the film roles? Excited Jo

Posted by Adele K. Thomas on Twitter -- According to a review of the show, he did sing a medley of songs from the musical. Is he teary-eyed?
