Someone was periscoping parts of the show -- but the clips are not complete. I think you have to use the CHROME/SAFARI/FIREFOX browser to view it ( because the actual streaming has ended) to be able to view it. Here's a brief clip of the SOLILOQUY from CAROUSEL -- www.periscope.tv/PamBorrow/1yoKMbzLNqzGQbut it shows Hugh's voice strong and crisp and authoritative! It does suit his voice very well...and his characterization is excellent. Jo

Next stop is BRISBANE!
He has already completed 8 shows ( excluding the dress rehearsal)...6 shows to go!
Time flies!
PS: Will Levi Miller be a special guest?

Rusty was just returning the favor -- remember when Hugh challenged him to a confrontation at Joe's Pub in NYC

Thanks!!
smiley-happy096 Sue ( Birchie)...and we miss you!
smiley-signs101 Valerie!
I do enjoy Hugh's patter in between the songs -- that is what makes his show engaging and endearing!
And the fourth wall interactions make it even more unique and truly enjoyable!
His show takes you back to that time when he burst in on Broadway for the first time ... and the love affair with his audiences has never stopped to this day smiley-happy082 smiley-love067

Some random thoughts --
*The performance of Hugh and Russell echoes to what is seen on stage for Les Miserables. People miss the portrayal in the film adaptation where the physical fight between Valjean and Javert gave more meaning to the duet and made it a richer song portrayal.
*The way he divided the concert into two acts seemed to convey that he wanted to give a musical soundtrack of the music relative to his life (and family) and career in the first act...and for the second act, he seemed to dedicate it to his Australian roots ( the reprise of the songs of beloved son Peter Allen, the songs of his journey from the many places in Australia and to why he is now based elsewhere other than Australia, his tribute to the land and original inhabitants of his beloved homeland and his temporary farewell once again.
*Will it ever be as effective ( or as appreciated) as the Broadway and Australian shows when he takes it to other places in the world?

Sounds like a very lively show in Brisbane ( Brissy in Aussie-speak)!! The crowds are loving Hugh's show...and you could hear people responding warmly to his patter. Many impressed fans during intermission, tweeting their enthusiastic approval of Hugh's performance! And even more widely-approving tweets at the end of the show! I've seen a Periscoped version of I've Been Everywhere, a tongue-twister of a song about exotically-named places in Australia. Including Turramura in Sydney where Hugh said he was born and where a 3-year old blonde tyke was photographed with his cat ...He also challenged the audience to sing along, with Patrick V providing the musical rhythm to the song and the dancing ball guiding the audience on which tongue-twisting Aussie name follows. Fun! I don't know if this part was shown in Melbourne and Sydney, but I have seen a clip of Hugh showing side-by-side photos of Deb and youthful crush Olivia Newton John... and Hugh expressed his Christmas wish for Deb to channel Olivia doing her famous song ("You're the One that I Want") from GREASE! Black leather pants or legwarmers will do Here's the tweet from Gene Moyle with the video clip -- twitter.com/genemoyle/mediaJo
