Great compliment!
Hope the AMPAS recognizes his triple threat versatility in THE GREATEST SHOWMAN!

Feedback on trailer (YouTube) Lol - it looks like the trailer song will be the first big hit from this movie *So many new YTube sites reprising the background trailer music *Someone categorically said that it will automatically be a nominee for Oscar Best Song *Although a few did not like the contemporary tone viz-a-viz the period piece storytelling. *Even the HJ partial version from his Broadway to Oz show has quadrupled its views number ( almost 15,000 now). I think both the lyrics and the music win the day! Jo

Even Keala's brother is fixated on a part of the song --

This is one of the new YTube site focusing on the trailer music --
Do check out the feedback section!
*Quite apart from potential Oscar glory ( it could be THIS IS ME and another song from the movie -- LaLaLand had two songs which were nominated, with one winning the Best Song Oscar), the song and the soundtrack could also compete for Grammy glory. Depending on how many songs Hugh might be singing as solo/duet/ensemble, hopefully this could be his chance for a Grammy?
*If THIS IS ME becomes overly popular -- could it hit the BillBoard charts?
*Can the soundtrack also become popular enough to reach the BILLBOARD charts?
*Depending on which could be nominated for Best Song, will we see Hugh and company singing at the Oscars?

Interesting exception among a tweeter's list of anticipated movies -- a movie musical!

A world premiere in New York City is of course pure wishful thinking on my part (FOX may have other things in mind ) Here's why -- *The movie is an Americana story about an American icon - P.T. Barnum may have also been known in his time in other parts of the world but his fame was never more underscored than in America. His museum is in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was also a political figure in this part of the world. *The story takes place mostly in the tri-state area. Maybe there are travel scenes in other places, but it is basically a home story in this part of the Eastern Seabord. *The movie was filmed in the area ( Steiner Studios in Brooklyn/East 78th in Manhattan/Long Island). *Very importantly, the movie was developed with great support from the Broadway community. There were 4 workshops/readings since the project started its long trek to realization and they were fully supported by Broadway performers ( even if they knew they would not likely be cast in the movie...of course with the exception of Keala in a featured role and maybe a few others in very minor roles such as Will Swenson). Names like Sutton Foster, Aaron Tveit, Jeremy Jordan, Cynthia Erivo, Andrew Keenan Bolger, Caroline Bowman, Allison Luff, Natalie Weiss, etc., were there for the project! And Hugh is as much a part of the Broadway community as all the others! Hope they get invites to the premiere ( all those who helped along) *Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's musical experience were Broadway/East Coast-bred, although now their songwriting talent has spread and likewise honored westward! *Pragmatically-speaking -- The release schedule todate ( based on IMDB) so far shows that most countries are not releasing it on Christmas Day -- some during the holiday season between Christmas Day to around New Year...but there would be later releases, too, So, maybe earlier premieres ( other than NYC) may not be likely because the movie is not being released on a day/date release as the USA. Hopefully, there will be other choice screenings or even glittering premieres in other parts of the world to help publicize the film...but it would seem not right to do it before the NYC premiere since the USA is getting a release date ahead of all others ( except Sweden which releases it on the same day). (Les Miserables premiered in London because the English version originated in London and still running to this day - it was cast with many English performers and was produced by Working Title and filmed in England/Pan is an English story by a famous English author and the movie was also filmed in England... I suspect Logan was premiered at the Berlinale because that was the only major glittering film festival close to the time of film release ( day/date release with the USA for most countries... although it also had premieres/screenings in NYC/Brazil/China/Taipei, even Japan in June ) ...Days of Future Past premiered in NYC followed by other premieres in Europe/Asia/South America, etc. It seems that premiere scheduling for blockbusters with day/date release with the USA makes it difficult to do scheduling close to actual release dates in individual countries). Hugh's work will be cut out for him this coming December as he will likely be doing the bulk of media interviews/press conferences/online events such as Q&As/ premieres. Plus the Golden Globes will be around the corner early in December and early January. In my very biased mind -- NYC is arguably the entertainment capital of the world ( together with Hollywood - although Hollywood is just a state of mind ) - which fits in with the theme of this movie being partly about the birth of the concept of "showbusiness " Jo

Trailers in other countries --
Italiano
(Dubbed speaking voices)
Russian
(Dubbed speaking voices)
Francais
(Dubbed speaking voices)
Deutsch ( Dubbed speaking voices) --
Espanol
(Dubbed speaking voices)
The same trailer was released for some other countries ( the UK in this case) but the notation of playdate was changed to "IN 2018"
There are also other international trailers with subtitles in the country's language ( Indonesian Bahasa, Portuguese, etc).

HongKong will release the movie even earlier - on December 21, 2017! Hope it doesn't get swamped by the run of STAR WARS : THE LAST JEDI ( which releases on December 14 in HongKong) and hope that it is favored over JUMANJI ( releasing in HongKong also on the 21st). Presumably there will be people who might favor counter-programming, especially with a movie that brings holiday cheer Jo

Why do they need a copy of your W9 form to enter? It's easier to vote than it is to get into a pre-screening of this film!

Has it anything to do with USA IRS regulations on prize winnings?

Maybe that's why they need the W9. I think I'll wait for Christmas.

Matt Bomer was once in a production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT, hence the greeting from Keala was taken from the libretto of the musical.

They're supposed to have a song-and-dance number together...and a great duet!
