You have probably already seen the movie and heard the full musical score!
Thanks for sharing your sentiments with us on the quality of the songs from the movie!
Hope the soundtrack album wins a GRAMMY and a song from it wins an OSCAR!

Even BILLBOARD writes about the inclusion of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN soundtrack album among OPRAH'S 2017 Christmas Gift Choices! www.billboard.com/articles/news/8022341/oprah-favorite-things-2017-listBtw, one of the best interviews that Hugh has ever done was the one he did with Oprah when he was filming THE PRESTIGE in LA, when she paid a visit to his rented place at that time. A few years later, Oprah promotes the movie AUSTRALIA as the only topic for one episode of her TV show then. Can't remember when anymore -- but Hugh did share his 5 favorite books in the OPRAH Magazine. Hugh's Oscar hosting in 2009 had an epilog interview with Oprah the following day, if I remember correctly. Of course we wince when we recall how Hugh hurt himself doing that zipline feat for Oprah's trip to Australia. But the trouper that he is -- he completed his part of the show, culminating in those Aussies ( Hugh, Russell, Nicole, Keith and Olivia NJ) singing I STILL CALL AUSTRALIA HOME for visiting Oprah! And there was also that anecdote narrated by Hugh about how Oprah made him feel important ( and embarrassed because of who were there) during a dinner conversation at Barbra Streisand's place by asking people around to listen to what Hugh was telling her. Many Hugh memories with Oprah!

A Wikipedia Page has already been set up for the SOUNDTRACK ALBUM of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. Included was this snap-- Soundtrack album by Various artists Released December 8, 2017 Recorded 2017 Label Atlantic Records Producer Justin Hurwitz *** Marius de Vries It looks like no stone was left unturned for this project -- Justin Hurwitz is the famous collaborator of Damien Chapelle for LalaLand. He composed the music for the song CITY OF STARS ( for which he won an Oscar with lyricists Pasek and Paul) while Marius de Vries is known for many projects, including Moulin Rouge ( the musical that first featured songs with a contemporary tone in a period setting). Music legends! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Hurwitzen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marius_de_VriesI wonder how different the soundtrack album is from the actual songs/singing in the movie itself? It seems the soundtrack album was produced with added listening appeal! Jo

According to Amazon, the people who pre-ordered THE GREATEST SHOWMAN soundtrack also bought other Broadway-related albums (mainly Sunday in the Park/Patti Lupone's album/Barbra's album). Could this mean that the interest from the Broadway community ( or Broadway fans) is also strong for the movie musical THE GREATEST SHOWMAN Jo

I chanced upon this link to iTunes -- It's the PREVIEW of the songs! itunes.apple.com/ph/album/the-greatest-showman-original-motion-picture-soundtrack/1299856714?ign-mpt=uo%3D2%26amp%3Buo%3D4They have already set up samplers for each of the songs! I would love to hear A MILLION DREAMS in full right now ( the Hugh/Michelle duet) - romantic and dreamlike! I think this is going to be one of my top three favorites FROM NOW ON ( the finale song where Hugh's upper high baritone range is very obvious) could do with a much longer sampler -- like THE GREATEST SHOW, the ensemble singing is protracted...and then you hear Hugh's voice rising and rising musically I have to listen to THE OTHER side again - sounds very catchy NEVER ENOUGH, Jenny Lind's song, sounds like a dramatic moment in the storyline. Michelle's TIGHTROPE sounds poignant, almost dramatic -- I can picture her singing and acting out this song very well! The songs of the Michelle and Rebecca's characters seem to bring on part of the gravitas that seemed to be lacking in some of the publicity material ( which focused too much on the star-crossed love of Philip and Anne). No need to comment on the roles of the three songs first released ( THE GREATEST SHOW, although I am curious how it differs with COME ALIVE...the anthemic THIS IS ME...and the poignant love story of Philip and Anne in REWRITE THE STARS). The soundtrack gives a more complete picture of the storyline and characters! No more fears that we are going to see only a Disney musical No offense meant, Mr.Mouse Jo

It's like not wanting to know SPOILERS...
Or listening to the soundtrack cannot compare to the seeing the scene unfold, hearing the characters sing in the right context, and maybe even accompanied by dazzling choreography!
Maybe A MILLION DREAMS is the song that sweeps us along with that fabulous dancing scene on the terrace! I can't wait to see that fantasy scene! And the song is seducing us to imagine how and when it is sung!
That brings me back to another romantic scene also on a terrace, with the man also garbed in clothes of a past century, and dancing with the lady he has chosen for the rest of his life! She came from another time...but in the end, she chose to join him in his own slice of time. I wonder if she sang any songs that bear the contemporary tone from her century?
Or what about that time...also in a past century when a dreaming Laurey is joined in a ballet-like dance by a charming cowboy? That was the first proof that one performer is bound to dance on other stages in the future ( across the pond on stage and on film)!

Atlantic Records itself is posting the official track on YouTube --
A MILLION DREAMS!
This sounds like the transition song from the young Phineas to the adult P.T.Barnum! How it shaped his life and outlook!
An early favorite for me!

LYRICS! genius.com/Various-artists-a-million-dreams-lyricsA MILLION DREAMS[Verse 1: Ziv Zaifman] I close my eyes and I can see The world that's waiting up for me That I call my own Through the dark, through the door Through where no one's been before But it feels like home [Pre-Chorus: Ziv Zaifman] They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy They can say, they can say I've lost my mind I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy We can live in a world that we design [Chorus: Ziv Zaifman] 'Cause every night I lie in bed The brightest colors fill my head A million dreams are keeping me awake I think of what the world could be A vision of the one I see A million dreams is all it's gonna take A million dreams for the world we're gonna make [Verse 2: Ziv Zaifman] There's a house we can build Every room inside is filled With things from far away The special things I compile Each one there to make you smile On a rainy day [Pre-Chorus: Ziv Zaifman] They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy They can say, they can say we've lost our minds I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy Runaway to a world that we design [Chorus: Hugh Jackman] Every night I lie in bed The brightest colors fill my head A million dreams are keeping me awake I think of what the world could be A vision of the one I see A million dreams is all it's gonna take A million dreams for the world we're gonna make [Bridge: Michelle Williams, with Hugh Jackman] However big, however small Let me be part of it all Share your dreams with me You may be right, you may be wrong But say that you're bring me along To the world you see To the world I close my eyes to see I close my eyes to see [Chorus: Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, together] Every night I lie in bed The brightest colors fill my head A million dreams are keeping me awake A million dreams, a million dreams I think of what the world could be A vision of the one I see A million dreams is all it's gonna take A million dreams for the world we're gonna make [Outro: Hugh Jackman & Michelle Williams] For the world we're gonna make

genius.com/Various-artists-tightrope-lyricsTIGHTROPE[Verse 1: Michelle Williams] Some people long for a life that is simple and planned Tied with a ribbon Some people won't sail the sea 'cause they're safer on land To follow what's written But I follow you to the great unknown Off to where what we call our home [Chorus: Michelle Williams] Hand in my hand And we promised to never let go We're walking the tightrope High in the sky We can see the whole world down below We're walking the tightrope Never sure, never know how far we could fall But it's all an adventure That comes with a breathtaking view Walking the tightrope [Post-Chorus] With you, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh With you, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh With you [Verse 2: Michelle Williams] Mountains and valleys, and all that will come in between Desert and ocean You pulled me in and together we're lost in a dream Always in motion So I risk it all just to be with you And I risk it all for this life we chose [Chorus: Michelle Williams] Hand in my hand And you promised to never let go We're walking the tightrope High in the sky We can see the whole world down below We're walking the tightrope Never sure, will you catch me if I should fall? Well, it's all an adventure That comes with a breathtaking view Walking the tightrope [Post-Chorus: Michelle Williams] With you, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh With you, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh With you With you, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh With you, ooh, ooh, ooh With you
