Busking is also very common on London streets or the tube or other public places like Covent Garden.

A group in the semi-finals of "The X Factor" put on an extravagant version of THE GREATEST SHOW!

A Million Dreams --
the gift of The Greatest Showman to all the kids in the world!
*It tells of their many dreams and aspirations
*It bonds them when they sing it together
*It allows their musical gifts to soar!

Posted just a week ago - comments to the TGS workshop clip (From Now On) -- Earlier, someone posted that this is "the best musical of all time" - if how people have loved the musical score is the basis -- maybe it could very well be true Jo

THIS IS ME will live forever! Whoever voted for that song from COCO for the Oscar win missed the best opportunity to recognize one of the very best ( if not the best) original songs for a movie. THIS IS ME develops the theme/message fully, is very catchy, and resonates with so many! Jo

They're still singing the songs -- Had to go to directly to Twitter to see this - it would not play here. He did a pretty good job, and even looks a bit like Hugh! ETA: Well, now it is playing okay! Strange!

This time, two musical theatre stars from London, who have both sang the role of Valjean -- Michael Ball ( who sang the role at a state dinner at Windsor Castle, besides being the original Marius...and recently singing the role of Javert in a LesMis staged concert) and Alfie Boe ( Valjean at the West End and on Broadway) -- sing something nobody ever thought would consider in their joint tour repertoire www.broadwayworld.com/westend/article/BWW-Review-MICHAEL-BALL-ALFIE-BOE-BACK-TOGETHER-SSE-Hydro-Glasgow-20200222Not sure where this is at ( certainly not from any tour concert) -- but supposedly at a swanky place in Mayfair -- Maybe they love the song -- but err... not so sure that Alfie's tenor voice suits the song... while maybe Michael ( who is a high baritone) is able to put in the pop element better. Lol - it seems as if the two are enjoying singing it karaoke. Sorry guys, -- you need a red coat and a top hat and a baton to make it sound for real! But the tribute is welcome! Everyone loves The Greatest Showman!

This is how you should look and sound - Michael and Alfie I miss this Amazing that the comments are quite new - no older than 3 weeks as of now! That means people are still watching it, more than 2 years after the premiere! Paraphrasing the best of the comments ( Liked by 115 ) -- "This is one movie which you wish you are seeing for the very first time, again!"Jo

I happened to come across various clips of interviews with Pasek and Paul during the release of the movie and during Oscar week.
Picked up a few things --
*The first time to meet Michael Gracey was a chance meeting. They were in Hollywood for something else when someone suggested they meet Michael re a new musical project he was involved in.
*They were never designated the Official Songwriters of the movie score, but more like they had to audition for every musical number whose theme was suggested by Michael.
*They knew they were writing the songs for Hugh Jackman...but still, the first meeting was terrifying - "he was very intimidating" - after all, "he is the song and dance man of our time"
*They like songs that speak of redemption, of second chances, etc. Justin's favorite musical from an artistic point of view is Guys And Dolls while Benj loves West Side Story.
*The first song they wrote was A MILLION DREAMS. The theme was suggested by Michael Gracey, who also had artistic illustrations done of his vision for the film.
*The most difficult because it took so long to develop the theme (Michael wanted it "anthemic") was THIS IS ME (initially it was meant for the Tom Thumb character but it wasn't landing...until they and Michael felt a song for The Bearded Lady would be more appealing). In fact, they wrote This Is Me very rapidly.
*The fastest song they wrote was FROM NOW ON - as earlier mentioned, they like songs of redemption and second chances, they knew what kind of songs Hugh Jackman works best with ( I think they were referring to his ability to paint a character musically-speaking, like an actor doing storytelling). Ironically, the Hugh story behind the last workshop was the perfect tableaux for the song!
