I have gotten to seeing so many kids sing it... that this one from a singing group seems to suggest that they are looking back at the dreams that they worked for to see come through

In these times -- A Million Dreams...have become a Million Moments for the young ( in whose lifetime such an incomprehensible disruption in their young lives has never happened) -- but with a glimmer of hope, for they are young!

I don't think we have come across this one -- a very impressive cover - the singing, the choreography, the setting!

Just about perfect ( The film version is the original...and it has a certain Aussie singing it )





So many young people have said that A MILLION DREAMS is their favorite song. I used to think that the new generation did not care for this kind of song ( and maybe Pasek&Paul, Michael Gracey & Hugh Jackman never expected the kind of reaction this song has received since it was first released ) ...but this just proves that beautiful music with resonant lyrics will appeal to everyone! The young are probably looking at this as their guide to their hopeful future...while older people look back and think of the dreams that came true!

I think that of all the great songs from the musical score of The Greatest Showman -- A MILLION DREAMS has the best chances of becoming the real classic because it is song of hope for everyone! Just my personal take.

Songs by Pasek&Paul that seem to dwell on similar themes - one of feeling of isolation, until the moment  comes that one finds the light, through someone or through one's own! Themes that Hugh Jackman explored in his music tour!

The music has had so much impact across the widest-ever sectors -- from toddlers to musicians!

But I think it is not just the songs of Pasek and Paul...

it has to be combined with the visual beauty that the movie has exhibited when each song was performed and danced to, including the exceptional work of the actors/singers! Including Grammy-winner Jackman, for his work in this movie musical!

Pink collaborates with a young African group in this version of A MILLION DREAMS for UNICEF.




Sorry, but I am disappointed with this treatment. Pink does not create the near-whimsical imagery that the song elicits... that of youthful hopes and starry-eyed dreams. The song belongs to the young... or the young-at-heart.

I like the video clip of her doing a duet of this song with her young daughter. It suits the song so much better.

The movie version is so much more appealing -- as if segues from a young boy with his youthful hopes to a young man about to fulfill his dreams. Which is why the song has been reprised by so many young people -- from young kids to young people about to fulfill their dreams ( it became a favorite graduation song).

at the Miss France 2021 beauty contest

I was watching a local major Christmas special featuring a network's array of stars ( content artists and actors, not newscasters or news analysts)...and I almost teared up when the group which includes some of the country's top singers started singing --

A Million Dreams!

(There's a background to this story which was quite a political issue here this year) and this song, given the setbacks earlier this year, seemed to embody what they are determined to give the public for 2021.

Hard to believe that the movie was released 3 years ago, yet its message and music continue to inspire
