It looks like the SING-ALONGs are getting a very good reception in the UK - many tweets about the joy of it!
Here's one from a music student at OXFORD UNIVERSITY --
And given her music background ( @ccorderoy Music student at @uniofoxford - Organ Scholar at @hertfordcollege. Choral conductor & Soprano. Usually thinking about opera/polyphony/acapella/lunch) -- it looks like the songs of Pasek and Paul has succeeded in reaching everyone!

Thanks! If you haven't seen it -- move over to the Official Review thread, where film critic Guy Lodge ( Variety/Observer/Guardian) has posted a series of tweets re the same singalong in London that he went to. He caught some of the shoutouts -- *Jenny Lind singing - " Homewrecker!" *Barnum laying down Philip, whom he rescued from the fire : " Kiss, kiss!" *Finale showing Caroline dancing the ballet and moving to the side : " Tree, tree!" LoL - it must have been quite a happy, giggly experience, as the YouTube host shared so generously Jo

Saw it again last night, and enjoyed it even more. The first time I went, it was half full, but last night the place was PACKED. I could see senior couples, middle-aged adults, younger adults, teens and kids as young as six. Itâs so much more enjoyable in the Sing-along version because the words are so meaningful. No, nobody sang along, but itâs like they (or we) were trying to not miss a single word. You could have heard a pin drop. That was amazing. No phones going off, no chit chat, no wrapper noises. At the end a collective sigh of satisfaction. Quite an experience. Alma

Usually men shy away from musicals (especially with American audiences) -- but this time, they are very openly embracing the appeal of the movie --

LOL! As he has always seduced his audiences! Ben Brantley of the NYTimes and big fan of Hugh, wrote his gushing piece on BACK ON BROADWAY and entitled the article " THE MASTER OF FLIRTATION"! *We first saw it as Hugh courted Laurey and also Aunt Eller *Then it was full-on seduction with the audiences of THE BOY FROM OZ *When he did BACK ON BROADWAY, we were all gushing by the end of the show. Although we have also been aware how Hugh Jackman has convinced the most die-hard comic book fan that he indeed is Wolverine...and all swear now that he cannot and should not be replaced! But a bit of a pity that film fans became aware of Hugh Jackman's full-on charisma only in THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. We have been Oz-nay-Hugh-a-lots for a very long time now Welcome to the club, movie fans! Jo
