If he announces it on the TODAY SHOW -- wouldn't be more a New York City-oriented news Otherwise, it will be a Hollywood announcement ( via the studio) if it were a return to a superhero role Haha - wishful thinking on my part --- that he is announcing a return to Broadway! Hey, Hugh - Broadway Baby Jo

We all hope it is THE GREATEST SHOWMAN -- but is the stage adaptation ready?
What if it is another book musical for Hugh, instead of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN?
Unless whoever-is-in-charge has made a decision as to the staging format (stage musical/concert/LasVegas show/arena tour)?
If it is a stage musical -- which large theatre could be available, if not towards the end of this season, maybe for next season?
Have any additional songs (which they indicated may be necessary to mount a stage musical) been composed. Pasek and Paul are very busy people, given their commitments especially for film projects. Have they resolved the technical requirements for a spectacle-based show like SHOWMAN? Will the screenplay be the basis for the book of the musical? Who will adapt it or has it been already adapted for the stage?
And then of course the casting. I'd be happy if only Hugh is available, and maybe Keala, too. They are both Broadway veterans. And will it be the same creative team, but who are not neccesarily experienced for stage productions?
Mundane and practical matters that need to be sorted out -- it does take a long time to stage or mount a production in musical theatre.

Greatest Showman on Broadway makes the most sense. He would be at home. Is the Schubert the largest theater? Does Radio City book musicals? Hmmm.

Greatest Showman on Broadway makes the most sense. He would be at home. Is the Schubert the largest theater? Does Radio City book musicals? Hmmm. The Shubert (capacity : 1502 ) is playing TO KILL A MOCKKINGBIRD at the moment. The Winter Garden (1602) will be available, as SCHOOL OF ROCK has been announced to close in January 2019. The Broadway (1763) may be available, as KING KONG is only doing capacity in the 70%. It is currently booking shows only up to April 14, 2019 ( is this date the cutoff for the TONYs?) The Imperial (1457) is not hosting big shows at the moment. But a show featuring music of THE TEMPTATIONS is on advance selling from March to November 2019 Current Broadway show grosses -- www.broadwayworld.com/grosses.cfmOf course we don't know yet what Hugh will share with us on Thursday -- but there is no charge to speculate

Re Radio City Music Hall -- I am not sure that I would like that to be the performing venue : *I have been there twice and somehow it gives the show only a sense of spectacle ( plus they look like ants when you are on the topmost balcony … and not even that good on the first balcony) plus showing it on the big screens ( on both sides of the stage) takes out the feeling that you are in the theatre with the cast. *And The Greatest Showman has moments of drama and joyful moments best appreciated on the more intimate confines of a Broadway house. I am not even sure that a "cave" like the Gershwin ( which has housed WICKED since 2003 -- did you know it was offered as an alternative to the Imperial for TBFO, but Hugh turned it down) will do the show justice. When I saw WICKED there, it felt as if I was in a moviehouse and distant ( although our orchestra seats were not that bad) from the production. LOL - I guess we won't be too choosy if and when THE GREATEST SHOWMAN becomes the greatest show on the great white way!

Oopsssss!!
LOL!
It seems that Hugh was actually referring to the TODAY SHOW in Australia, not the NYC-based NBC show!
Check out the link he provided in his social media message ( Twitter & Instagram).
So 2 sleeps to go -- that means we get it here in Manila in the wee hours ( if that is a morning show) as we are 3 hours ahead of Sydney/Melbourne.
EDIT: I have a feeling that Hugh's posts on social media incorrectly used the link to the Australian TODAY show for the NBC TODAY show!

Check out the link on the Instagram post. That was what confused the confusion -- the video clip is from the NYC TODAY show! Or did Hugh mistake the link for the Australian TODAY show for the NBC TODAY show? This is confusing Jo
