My Dish TV guide also has the Dixie Chicks listed, along with Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington. There have been a lot of incorrect listings the last couple of weeks, so it's probably best to record the show and hope the guide is wrong.

When I search Hugh Jackman TV Shows on DirecTV, Ellen is not listed at all. It also says Dixie Chicks and Reese W. on the 24th.

Variety and PBS SoCal have announced the actor lineup and schedule for Season 12 of “Variety Studio: Actors on Actors.”

The new season of the Emmy-winning series was filmed entirely from actors’ homes and includes one-on-one conversations between stars from potential contending shows in this year’s Emmy race. The first two episodes will premiere on PBS SoCal on Friday, July 17, at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. with episodes three and four premiering on Friday, July 24, at 8 p.m. and 8:30 pm. All episodes will stream on pbssocal.org and on the free PBS Video app following their premieres.

Marvel's Storyboards Series to Debut With Hugh Jackman

Marvel Entertainment announced on Monday that the world premiere of Marvel’s Storyboards will take place on Thursday, July 23rd. Fans can watch the first season of Marvel’s Storyboards on Marvel’s YouTube channel and Marvel.com for free this summer.

According to the press release, Marvel’s Storyboards is a 12-episode non-fiction series following Joe Quesada, EVP, Creative Director of Marvel Entertainment, as he explores the origin stories and inspirations of storytellers of all mediums, backgrounds, and experiences at their favorite spots throughout New York City and beyond.

The series will be aired in two six-episode seasons, showcasing a variety of visionary, critically acclaimed storytellers including Bobby Lopez (EGOT winning songwriter, Frozen, Avenue Q), Johnny Weir (former Olympic figure skater), Christian Borle (Something Rotten, Smash), Margaret Stohl (Life of Captain Marvel), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Sasheer Zamata (SNL), Ed Viesturs (high-altitude mountaineer), Natalia Cordova-Buckley (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Nelson Figueroa (former MLB pitcher for the New York Mets), Gillian Jacobs (Community, Love), Samhita Mukhopadhyay (Executive Editor, Teen Vogue), and Taboo (Black Eyed Peas)!


“Whether you choose to speak through your words or through your actions, we are all storytellers with something to share. Marvel’s Storyboards captures that spirit and drive behind some of the most incredible voices across film, television, music, theater, sports, journalism, and beyond.” said Quesada. “With all of us now spending so much more time at home, we felt it was more important than ever to make these inspirational stories accessible to as many people as possible and share them with the world. We are thrilled to debut Marvel’s Storyboards for all our fans this summer!”

Quesada has overseen stories at Marvel Entertainment across its publishing, film, animation, and television lines for 20 years, serving as both Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer and Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief.

“After doing this show, I’ve been personally blown away by the sheer talent and passion that each of these storytellers bring to their work, and I hope that our fans will feel the same,” said Quesada. “The show takes us on the ice with an Olympic legend and then puts us on to the stage where art, humor and truth collide. It sits us behind the piano with one of the greatest songwriters of our time, and then treks us up the side of a daunting mountain – and that’s all just a glimpse of what we have in store!”

Marvel’s Storyboards Season One and Two are produced by Marvel New Media and BFD Productions. The series premiers on July 23rd. Here's the episode schedule:

Joe Quesada's long-expected Disney Plus interview show has a new release date - and a new home.

Originally announced in July 2019 as one of Disney Plus's launch shows for a November 2019 debut, Marvel's Storyboards is now scheduled to debut Thursday, July 23 as a show on Marvel Entertainment's YouTube channel. Originally intended to have a 12-episode first season in its Disney Plus iteration, this transition has led Marvel to split the series into two six-episode seasons (similar to DC Universe's Harley Quinn and Netflix's Castlevania).

Marvel did not give a reason for the changes.

Marvel's Storyboards is series of 10- to 15-minute shows with Quesada, Marvel Entertainment's executive vice president/creative director, interviewing celebrities from different mediums while in unique places similar to Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.

"Each episode, which spans 10-15 minutes, of Marvel's Storyboards will also dive into each visionary's relationship with Marvel as well as a personal account of how they overcame a personal or professional hurdle," reads Marvel's description of the show.

The second season is scheduled to air sometime later in 2020, according to Marvel.



Additional interview subjects previously announced were: actor/comedian Sasheer Zamata, actor Gillian Jacobs, mountaineer/corporate speaker Ed Viesturs, and Teen Vogue's executive editor Samhita Mukopadhyay.

Marvel's Storyboards is one of several projects that Marvel's New Media division produced for Disney Plus. The Hero Project debuted as one of the streaming service's launch shows, while Marvel's 616 is anticipated to debut later this year.

The filmmaker posted an image of the artwork to Instagram, writing, “Thank you so much [Hugh Jackman] for commissioning the brilliant comic artist [Joe Quesada] to make these fantastic and very personal covers for me. I will cherish them and our long friendship and collaboration always!”

Jackman signed one of the pieces with a message to Singer that read: “Dear Bryan, It all started with you, Bub! 1999-2016! From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

I watched this online yesterday from 7-8 pm. You could type in questions and while they didn’t answer me specifically, the moderator did ask a similar question from someone else regarding the re-opening of Broadway. (I had asked if Hugh thought The Music Man would still proceed without a Covid-19 vaccine) As he said in that other interview, he starts rehearsals in February and the show starts in May.
The female comedian on there (Hannah Gadsby) has two Netflix specials I’m going to watch. She was funny! Hugh was his usual charming self!
