It seems that Hugh's Opening Number is working very favorably in terms of providing excellent publicity for his upcoming music tour!
*Some reactions on social media that seeing the Jackman performance at the BRITs made them aware about Hugh's performing skills and that a few are trying to get tickets now?
*The opening number with a feature story attached to it re his coming music tour has been picked up by media outlets like Entertainment Weekly and People. As these are online media outlets it has helped to further publicize his tour in the rest of Europe and the USA/Canada.
*While people may have been impressed by his portrayal in THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, it is even more phenomenal when you see him performing live... and that wins fans! Those who are ambivalent about attending any of the upcoming show dates because sometimes movie portrayals disappoint when seen in reality events. No offense meant, but some movie musical actors/actresses have been known to refuse performing in public ( Nicole, Emily Blunt, not sure but I think Emma Stone was also reluctant to perform at the Oscars). Seeing Hugh perform live and in such spectacular fashion has become a forerunner ( for those who have not seen him in musical theatre or at the TONYs) of what to expect in his concert tour.
*The professionalism and dedication he has put into his preparation for the event is also impressing people!

Excellent upload from Atlantic Records of full clip of BRITs opening number. Better still - watch it in full screen mode ( see icon on lower right hand corner when you open on YouTube) -- so much details seen and spotlight on Hugh is much more defined! What a joy to watch! How can he top this when he sings the same song as his Tour Opening Number Kudos to Michael Gracey for the visual spectacle and overall direction, to Ashley Wallen for the precision and execution of the choreography... and of course to the spectacular and eye-popping performance of Hugh Jackman What a pity the OSCARs producers never thought of asking Hugh to do this Opening Number for the no-host 2019 edition of Hollywood's greatest show!

There was no full show from Hugh ( as that was all of it), if you're referring to the Opening Number at the BRITs. Comments made in certain articles would have some reference to this performance and there were also social media comments, but that would be about it.
His 2009 Oscars Opening Number has been reviewed or commented upon a number of times as part of his entire hosting of the Oscar ceremonies then.

Ten years ago, too --
You may also want to watch it on a Full Screen Mode.
