That was undoubtedly one of the best, funniest Peter + "victim" segments I'd ever witnessed. I hope he wasn't really fired.

Sometimes I wonder if his heart belongs to both Sydney and his adopted home, New York! In Back on Broadway, he used to sing I HAPPEN TO LIKE NEW YORK! In this number ( which is my one regret about its absence at MSG - although we did get BILLY'S SOLILOQUY instead) -- Hugh displays his total musicality, his incredible energy, and connectivity with the audience. While looking for something else - I ran across this article from Michael Riedel ( written in mid-2017) again -- It won't probably happen soon, as he is already committing to a year's run for The Music Man -- nypost.com/2017/06/01/hugh-jackman-in-a-mad-search-for-next-broadway-hit/On the one hand -- That bucket list wish is done But -- reading thru this Riedel piece in mid-2017, it seems Hugh has also been toying with very serious and some classic dramatic plays. I wonder, if in the not too distant future, if he could also be thinking of these kind of material as another Broadway trajectory for him as he further diversifies his stage career? Jo |
