LOL! I did that once -- I saw A STEADY RAIN several times up close. For the last performance which I saw, I decided that I will focus only on Hugh Jackman, mostly to focus on all his acting range in a show which saw him change in character deeply. From an alpha male rogue cop to someone who fell into a physical, mental, and emotional abyss. Ha, it was hard to concentrate on the acting when he was sitting most of the time in front of you -- then you begin to look at his face, his hair, his arms, his... Not exactly the best way to watch the art of acting Jo

Even Hugh must be wondering how young kids have become part of his fanbase

Museum-miles to go! Out-ot-town places to visit! Maybe Broadway shows to see? Been hoping...and hoping...and hoping... For a long time now... That if it happens, that it will be at MSG I'm greedy, too -- I'd like to see their bestfriend (not pictured) Jake Gyllenhaal show up, too, and they do a dance-off for 3! Jo

Not a fan Doesn't she realize that Hugh uses social media to promote his career projects and to push his advocacies? And she's the first person I have come across who is left with a negative impression of the kind of person Hugh Jackman is, especially when he is interviewed ( they are usually not just informative but makes the interview more personalized and not just off-the-cuff). Also, the show is a personal retrospective -- that has been said right at the beginning. So, Hugh narrating the personal context of the songs and dance numbers is given to appreciate the impact of music on his career and his personal life. She said she came in with a negative attitude towards Hugh Well, not saying some people cannot have an indifferent opinion of or have a negative opinion of Hugh -- but what she did hope to get out of the concert if she already had a fixed notion of the kind of person and professional Hugh is. This is absurd. She was such a fan that she was one of the "first 100 to buy a ticket", but she had not followed him on social media before, or seen any interviews? Then she sees a few interviews/posts and does a complete 180 regarding her opinion of him? People are certainly entitled to think what they want about HJ, but she sounds a little unhinged IMO. 24, 2019 9:01:47 GMT -4 jo said:Not a fan Doesn't she realize that Hugh uses social media to promote his career projects and to push his advocacies? My World Tour program arrived today! I think I’ll wait until after I see the show on July 3rd to look at it. The fewer spoilers, the better!

Nothing can ever beat the original!!
Given a chance -- do see the show...knowing that you are as much a part of that show!
Don't watch it it thru the lens of your camera!
Don't miss the greatest show that way,!
Have fun.😍

Don't miss the greatest show that way,! Have fun.😍 AMEN! Why go to the effort and expense of attending a live show if you don't stay engaged for every minute of the performance? I don't get it. I plan to enjoy every second of tomorrow night's show. The opportunities to do so come along far too infrequently! Carol

I just came from seeing Dear Evan Hansen.
I wasn't sure about seeing it because I thought the theme may not be compelling to me although I was curious about the music by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul plus it won the TONY.
But I became more curious after hearing Hugh's comments about the show.
I got lucky and was able to get a 2nd row Orchestra Left at a much cheaper price as it was for the current day performance.
Now I appreciate much better the reason why Hugh used You will Be Found as an evocative song for him.
Will expand on this in my report on TMTMTS.

The contrast in musical scores, both by Pasek & Paul, is amazing and showcases the evolving versatility of this talented songwriting team.
Dear Evan Hansen, to me, is almost like a dramatic play, focusing on the relationships among the players, with the occasional music giving it the sound of recitatives (in sung-thru musicals, these are the sung dialogs). There are 2 songs which deliver emotional impact very strongly, Waving Thru A Window...and You Will Be Found. , The Greatest Showman is like a traditional musical where the book and the songs both advance the story and/or enhances character development. And all the songs are indidually appealing and can even be given or sung in different contexts. Its appeal is also more universal - across ages in some cases, and across borders. In the long run, it is likely that it is the score of Greatest Showman that will become classic, if it is not yet one!
And to think that Pasek& Paul were writing the scores at overlapping times! Michael Gracey did have a big hand in developing the narrative behind the songs. But the composers delivered the narratives and messages impressively!
In both scores, while Evan Hansen was more muted, they both gave each story the required emotional impact!

O...M...G...Janet D and I had an absolute blast last night at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta! Our seats were so close (as you will see) to the runway. We ran up and both got our hands slapped by Hugh! My daughter and her husband were up in sec. 222, but both really enjoyed the show. Her husband even said he was “very talented!” They delayed the show until 7:15 which was good because my son-in-law is notoriously late for everything - they sat down in their seats at 7:13!! Nice booty shot! Nancy

There were of course extra singers (female) for a few songs, but nobody “famous.” These two I took off the jumbo screen:
