A lot of fans ( presumably movie fans) are amazed that Hugh Jackman is doing a world tour... and that they will be in arenas! They probably never heard that he has done this kind of concert series in Australia already 2 times! Singing in a stadium ?? Eassssssy!!! Check out the Australian Tennis Open in 2019 -- at the Rod Laver Arena -- he has already done 2 different shows there. Some are afraid that he will be too distant from the uppermost levels?? Hmm... I think he usually finds a way to make the people inside the arenas all feel good and be part of the party. Either he tries to get closer to those not so comfortably situated... and because he chats away while doing the show -- not just the usual patter between each song...but stories that entertain and easy to relate to Also, someone asked if they have the usual flashing lights as she suffers from epilepsy. People think it will be like a usual pop concert - with flashing lights, smoke, dancing which seems to be more like calisthenics ( to me and my old fashioned views - LOL) and too many tricks of the spotlight. It is probably not tactful of me to say that sometimes I think those gimmicky things are there because the performer's talent is much less than billed. They will be in for a big surprise when they see Hugh perform, save those who have seen him on Broadway or the TONYs or even at the OSCARs. Jo

I agree with Once Before I Go!! That should be the last song. Saw him sing it twice in The Boy From Oz (March and June 2004) from 2nd and 3rd rows! Nancy

And how about this one -- for all the disappointed Wolverine fans ( who were hoping for a Wolverine-accented huge announcement) [/quote] Jo

It's true -- one's reason tends to go away when confronted with a ticket that you finally found after much anxiety and irrational fear that you won't find one. I remember past instances (not all Hugh shows) where the system crashed and we all lost our minds I remember someone on the theatre board saying that she was multitasking -- watching the laptop, one hand on a cellphone and a landline phone cradles on one's shoulder. They really should do a short movie skit on our irrational behavior come first-day-of-sales time PS: It's even worse if you are an international fan -- you need to find out if that long flight can be covered by your mileage, if your card will be accepted in the USA, if your card does not trespass international security limits, worrying if you should book the flight first before you get the tickets or should it be the reverse...whether you should call (if you can, but it is mighty expensive) or simply rely on computers? Or if you are willing to travel by yourself if you cannot find a travel/show companion Jo

This is the official ticket seller for the 2 shows at London's O2 Arena --
Closer to the "event" day -- that would be 6 months away, isn't it?
Or is he referring to the opening date for ticket-buying?

sounds like scalper prices. Official pre sale starts 12/5 according to their website.

sounds like scalper prices. Official pre sale starts 12/5 according to their website. Are they changing the date to Dec 5? One BWW poster said that in SD, the presale is on Dec 5. But NYC seems to still be still on December 6? www1.ticketmaster.com/hugh-jackman-the-man-the-music-the-show/event/3B005573C0001937I made an inquiry with Ticketmaster earlier re Presales starting Dec 6. I was informed via email that only Chase Preferred card and LOCAL residents can participate. Not sure what they meant by LOCAL (New York only or Tri-state or something else). Hope they expand that closer to Dec 5/6. Jo

Will his new fanbase (the kids who are great fans of SHOWMAN) be there, too? Hugh will be delighted!

Wouldn't it be nice if Hugh could arrange a special discount for kids who want to see the show? Maybe anyone up to 12 years old?

I have a friend from the UK and they are equally stressed over there! The show is playing for two nights in the largest arena in the UK … The O2 Arena, which used to be called the Millenium Dome. It's the fault of the movie THE GREATEST SHOWMAN -- too much pre-show publicity for Hugh's WORLD TOUR, via the beloved movie ... Of course the Brits discovered him first, when he stayed for a full year for the 1998/1999 OKLAHOMA! Given the film's popularity, it really is perfect timing for him to go back to his musical roots on stage. He may not even need TV ads to publicize the show Jo

*This is already a back-breaking schedule for Hugh. He does have occasional health issues, so this effort is already well-appreciated. People do not realize how much effort he expends in shows like this. And unlike pop artists who divide their time between recording and touring, Hugh Jackman has a varied career - from stage to film and now to concerts, on top of his advocacies and occasional hosting gigs. Very busy performer!
*I guess the designation of the tour places and dates was mainly a judgment call of the show promoters in consultation with Hugh. They must have studied where prospective demand exceeds the cost of mounting such a production.
*Nice to read people asking Hugh to please come to their hometowns. But adopting a sarcastic tone ( even if it is only slight) may not work.
