Just being there -- is already a gift! Plus side screens will give you the larger image of Hugh and his co-performers.

One can only sympathize with the disappointments of those who could not get tickets even if they went to the ticket site on the dot. This is particularly true for the places in high demand -- like the UK( already up to 5 concert dates for London, 3 for Birmingham, and 3 for Manchester in large arenas) and Ireland where 3 concerts have also been slated in Dublin. Some are frustrated by the inability to get tickets either due to the way the ticketseller system works or the lack of reasonably-priced choices left. I have not read too many social media comments from other places - hope they are getting their tickets relatively easy.
It might be a good idea to split your tickets/seats if you are having a hard time looking for a pair of tickets seated together.
Also, it pays to be patient, keep looking around for tickets as some of those held momentarily as somebody else is making a decicion on them and who may not pick up the self-same tickets at all.
The story is familiar as during the time from the early days of buying tickets for Hugh's Broadway shows. Btw, re those who complain about the high ticket prices - to some extent, they probably think what is on offer is Hugh simply singing one song after another ( like other pop concerts)… and not some kind of show that mimics Broadway spectacle to some extent. Maybe they should think about theatrical shows ( maybe something along BackOnBroadway or BroadwayToOz) and theatre-show pricing?
How is it in the USA?
I wonder if Hugh expected this kind of reception?
Btw ,this is a funny tweet shared by someone from Korea or of Korean parentage --

It would have been a great gesture to reserve some RUSH seats for the day of the performance in all venues.

They do love over there --
Melbourne was the lucky city which first saw Hugh Jackman performing in a stage musical ( Beauty and the Beast)!

Why is ticket-buying almost always a very horrifying experience with popular shows, esp for Hugh shows Why can't ticket sellers find a way to provide an easier or a less-tense scenario to be able to pick up tickets? Maybe they will have to reorganize and/or streamline their system ( of course it will cost them more money but they probably already find popular shows very profitable... even if they only take a fixed % of ticket sales) to make it a little easier for ticket buyers waiting to have access to tickets? How about accepting reservations with credit card instructions ( if they can work out any security issues) ahead of time and then they can advise if one's request has been accepted or has been put on a Wait-list? They don't want to spend more money making it easier for ticketbuyers to get access and a final sale Those who want take their chances on ticket opening date - it's the ticketbuyer's choice!

The music tour has not started. First show will be in Glasgow on May 7, 2019. Warren Carlyle shared that there will be rehearsals in NYC first...then will move to the UK for further rehearsals before the tour commences. www.hughjackmantheshow.com/I have a feeling that the show will follow the format of BACK ON BROADWAY/BROADWAY TO OZ, with maybe a much expanded song repertoire, more interesting stories from Hugh and more lavish spectacle. It will most likely highlight THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, with guests such as Keala Settle providing additional excitement to the show. Unlike BACK ON BROADWAY which was featured as a Broadway variety show, it is doubtful that we will get the kind of review, and as immediately published, that theatre critic Ben Brantley from The NYTimes shared with us.
