Presumably the above Hugh post was in connection to this -- This is interesting -- *Will the baby son be replaced by a young boy? *or will the teenage son be replaced by a young boy? Or is this another character in the story? Why is the casting in Paris when the movie will be filmed in NYC? Jo

It is beginning to look like that the movie will have a cosmopolitan air --
London South of France New York ( announced as last leg of filming)

It did not seem that he was both working and having a break ... besides he got to indulged in French breakfast food (Remember the arguments on what to call what most know as "pain au chocolat" and what French purists call chocolatine...although this time, his photos featured a huge croissant ). I wonder why they seemed to have been in quite a few places on the Mediterranean -- or did they just film in one area and Hugh spent a few more days enjoying the blue-skies-blue-waters-sumptuous-food I am very curious -- because there were no such scenes taking place in Southern France in the play -- maybe Zeller & Hampton are adding to the film adaptation storyline for greater interest? On a personal note, I once collected home videos of movies where Southern France was the setting ( particularly the Cote D'Azur, aka French Riviera, such as The Talented Mr. Ripley, Affair To Remember, To Catch A Thief, Bonjour Tristesse, A Good Year- RCrowe/MCotillard) -- it is such a beautiful place. On another personal note - once, on a Monaco Formula-1 related trip, we took a train from Nice to Monaco. But it was not just a train -- it was a panoramic view train ( one side had very, wide windows - for tourist viewing) and it was breathtaking because we were high up over the blue Mediterranean. Monaco itself is like a fairy-tale place...But one of the secret places to visit in Provence -near Nice - is the fabled artist colony of St Paul de Vence! Very beautiful and inspiring place. despite the fact that there is no other way but to navigate its hilly cobblestone and winding streets on foot. Beyond the hilltop village is a very famous restaurant - Colombe D'Or. It is famous because in earlier times, that is where many famous artists came to stay -- and some left their own work sometimes to pay for their lodging. A veritable art gallery of impressionist/post-impressionist art! Quite nearby is an outdoor museum which features many of Alexander Calder's mobile sculptures (Foundation Maeght) The area of the south is where artists like Van Gogh, Matisse et al used to paint. One of the famous hilltop towns is Grasse - where they grow most of the flowers that end up in one's favorite French perfume! On the hills is also the place to find naturally growing herbs all over the place ( such as rosemary, thyme, etc). Dreamy hills and breathtaking waters! Jo

Lol - I mentioned about rosemary & thyme ( from the song) ... I actually saw them thriving in towns and hillsides and their strong scent mildly filled the air... but to be honest, I did not see any parsley...and not sure about seeing the gray-ish sage Close to Nice is Cap Ferrat, which is called the playground of the rich. www.iconicriviera.com/saint-jean-cap-ferrat-france-travel-guide/Within it is a famous palatial mansion of Ephrussi de Rothschild. It is not so much about the beautiful pink mansion that drew a gasp from me. It was seeing the 7 major types of gardens that surrounded the palatial place. How they can co-exist is a climate wonder - maybe because the Mediterranean climate is in many parts sub-tropical? Jo

One of Florian Zeller's comedies was staged in Melbourne. Alongside was news that Zeller's next movie will feature Australian actors Hugh Jackman and Zen McGrath- Nicholas? It looks like he is one of 3 brothers who are/were child actors - Gulliver, Zen & Winta.

http://instagram.com/p/CUoase4LRLw According to Florian Zeller, there are still wrap-up scenes for the movie, to be filmed in New York. Maybe Laura is no longer needed for those final scenes? Jo

It seems they might have completed the European leg in London ( after Southern France or was this before Southern France)? But didn't Hugh say that he was flying homeward to NYC from Southern France? Lol - shooting a movie does not follow a logical timetable Posted by Florian Zeller -- http://instagram.com/p/CUSysiuAP6V
