Val, I love that idea! These new emoticons are so adorable! I especially love the group hug and the group cheer throwing the little one in the air! I agree that the ones we have now are a little boring. I've also noticed that several of us lately have been adding new ones here and there to liven it up a little bit. I get mine from my photobucket. I think we definitely need a little "fainting" emoticon as well. We all know what Hughie does to us all...  He seems to have that effect on many of us LOL! So, I applaud the new idea, our wonderful ADMIN.    |

Great idea. Too bad we can't just add!! If you're wondering which of the defaults to remove these would be the ones I'd vote off the island: Tongue questionable Embarrassed looks more like angry Lips Sealed probably not necessary Of the new ones showing I like the happy dance & group hug. Also the thud that someone mentioned. These are some I like from my own collection: ROTFL  wave  give up/confused  bow  censored  embarrassed  sobbing  |

These are so cute!! I'm all for changing the ones we can. As I've said many times before, I'm not a techie and I don't have the faintest idea how to do it. I love the new ones, and thanks to all those who are computer literate that have gotten us this far.

I'm so glad you suggested this! I think we should get rid of Cheesy, Lips Sealed and Angry.
Change Embarassed to the one where the bag goes over the head. And we simply MUST have the *THUD* emoticon! Change the Crying one to the Sobbing (with the Kleenex)--love that one. And add the ROTFL one.

I've done a bit of experimenting. A few new emoticons are functioning, but I can't alter what they are called so some of the names are incongruous. Ignore the name and just select the "look" you want.
I've also set the "Aussie Flag" as the default "skin" for the Forum because this is where I swapped emoticons. If you have selected one of the two "Red Board" skins you will not see the changes.
Let me know how this looks and works for you.
RE: the sudden reappearance of the over-wide board, it was caused by a huge photo, which I think I've remedied.

I can see all the changes Valerie! Absolutely! I can see all the ones above as I type this now. What's funny too, is that all of our posts in the past have the changed icons in them too! For instance, if any of us used the old "anger" icon in a post, it's been replaced with the "happy dance" LOL. Example: I had used the "anger" icon in the thread Memories and Tributes about the Princess of Wales Theater being torn down and now it shows the "Happy Dance". ;D

Nancy: I've checked your preferences. You are set to the "Aussie Flag" skin. I wiped it, reset it, and modified your preferences. Do you see it now? Do you see a "smiley" to the left of the text and an animated "emoticon" to the right of the text? Do you see only one icon? Which one - before or after the text? Do you see ONLY text? Valerie, Now when I log in I get the mixed blue & red (Aussie Flag?) and I can see all the new emoticons and everything. I really don't like this skin and wish I could still have the pretty blue one I had before, but would that require you changing the emoticons with that skin? Don't even know if that is possible for you to do.

Log in, click  > Modify Profile, then scroll down to "Select Skin" to make a choice from the menu - and don't forget to click "Modify Profile" at the very bottom of the page.Be advised that the new animated emoticons will only appear with the "Aussie Flag" skin. |

I am now a PIT SINGER - I didn't know they still have those in the theatre ;D
The only one I remember in recent memory was when someone was singing some of Frankie Valli's notes for John Lloyd Young during his first run in Jersey Boys.
Can I be a PIT MECHANIC instead - just joking ;D
