I jsut saw a document where Lauren Shuller Donner said that she was the first woman who produced an action movie. Also, she and Hugh have a huge respect for each other, you can tell. I think she may try directing a movie, because I believe she could handle it Lenka, could you share the name of the documentary?? Was it Czech? I love documentaries and would love to see her in one. I'd wish she would direct. She's a very astute and talented woman and there are not enough woman directors around! Thanks for the info. Sue It´s a little difficult to explain and I am sure it may be available somewhere. It was a gift DVD to Blu-Ray X-Men discs I bought yesterday, as a part of a promotion. It was obviously made recently (Hugh had the Prisoners look). It is called Legacy X: Wolverine and the X-Men. I can´t rip videos from original DVDs but it is possible this may be as a bonus on some DVDs or on The Wolverine DVD when it will be out. The cover looks like this: www.imagebam.com/image/0ab55d266271984Sorry, I can´t post it as a picture here for some reason. There are documents to each movie and "What´s next" but the biggest part (24 minutes) was about first X-Men. The biggest screen time got Lauren, Hugh but also Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. They added something new (Hugh talked more about the audition process) and the funniest part was that they barely mentioned Halle (about three sentences), all other X-Men movies were about 3 minutes long and Origins about 10 minutes. There was a funny behind the scenes segment, where Hugh and Liev fight and Hugh says "Not my hair! Anything but my hair!" I wish I could help more but it was so random (a smart piece of promotion) that I didn´t try to find out what kind of document it is

The full TOP GEAR interview, including his demo with a car on a track! www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WpJcFEXASY*Have you noticed how many women surrounded him among the audience, in a show about cars and probably has male viewers in the great majority smiley-love029 *Hugh is always a great raconteur - any anecdote sounds really fun! *He did seem to blush a little when he contradicted Jeremy Clarkson about being shy in public places - LOL! *Wow - he was great on track! I always admire racers who can handle curves with such ease and confidence ( especially "esses" - series of continous curves from left to right and vice versa). Hey, maybe he can do a biopic of Australian racer Mark Webber, with whom there is some comparison when it comes to Aussie uber-masculine looks! *Irving was impressed, after initially thinking Hugh did not deserve to be in TOP GEAR! Hugh says Irv has known him for 20 years! *Hugh has been in all kinds of shows to promote a movie ( remember when he appeared on WWE for Real Steel?) - and he is always game - he must be the marketing department's delight Jo

"And if you're ever in Manila, you're very welcome!" - from the Filipino journalist who interviewed him.
Looking forward to the bathing scene - LOL!
Hey, James Mangold must like putting him in a bathtub scene -- remember how there was one in Kate and Leopold...and how the Director's Cut even showed the extended scene smiley-happy082

Today ( July 23) will be the FAN EVENT at the AMC Theatre in NYC - with an appearance by Hugh! I wonder if this is actually more of a glittering premiere, as the movie has not had one in the USA...and that celebs will all be there to add glamor and excitement! No word, too, of a Hollywood premiere -- are they keeping that under wraps? Or is the Fan Event the major and only event to celebrate the re-emergence of (THE) WOLVERINE in American cinemas! Kind of appropriate to bring attention to the true supporters of this beloved mutant, in a real sense! Jo

Jo,
There is a website that says the premiere here in LA is July 23, but no time or venue is included. It must be bogus, unless Wolverine has developed a new mutation that lets him go "Bicoastal" simultaneously.

You'll enjoy this radio interview ( but filmed and uploaded on YT) with British media -- it is funny and even goofy and Hugh is very relaxed! www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VVJU3H1tZ0Jo

Fun interview. Dancing ninjas in Korea? Can the fabled Wolverine kickline be far behind? The IRS mention got me to wondering whether it was a joke or has he at some time received one of those dreaded IRS letters about taking another look at returns? I'm assuming he's a resident alien; I don't know the tax laws relevant to that status. And does Australia take another bite of his bucks? I would think so. Well, he's getting another dog. A shame that's not a qualified dependent. Ellen

From the above article, may I quote about future plans --
>>>so I'll be doing the final workshop for that in the fall<<<
This fall? 2013?
>>>and if that goes well, some time next year, I'll probably do that.<<<
Spring or fall 2014?
Er...are his dates correct -- they seem to be a year ahead in terms of planning according to the schedules laid out by Jack O'Brien...and the indications on the writing pace of Stephen Schwartz? But this interview is even more recent than what we have read from Jack or what we have read about how Stephen is proceeding?
>>>But I'm not officially signed on to anything, so it's fun. It's exciting for me.<<<
It seems there is nothing he has decided on re any film projects ( he probably has a number of offers?).

Look at the demographics of the fans around Hugh -- they must be a movie producer's dream! And if you juxtapose stagedoor photos from earlier years ( along W44th and W45th) -- to the W 42nd crowds, this special prime piece of entertainment real estate should be renamed HUGH JACKMAN SQUARE ( Monsieur Le Maire Bloomberg, s'il vous plait! ) > Jo

I think I spotted Sue B and Ellen with Hugh outside Letterman. It looked very chaotic as usual. He looked great with the bit of gray in his beard. Fern
