I wonder if this was said during the interviews, or was it simply Collider's perception? If you look at the poster, it is neither the young nor the older Prof Charles Xavier who is the main focus, but Wolverine who "seems" like the central character ( Collider reports that Logan plays the role of " the observer" and " mentor" to Charles). But in the likely billing order ( following how it was presented in the first trailer), Hugh is not just top-billed, but is also the only one with an " above the title billing". In the poster, he occupies the most prominent focus. Or is Fox marketing simply taking advantage of the popularity of the character and Hugh Jackman to lure people in smiley-rolleyes010 Jo

The third part of the JoBlo set visit report includes interviews with Bryan Singer, writer Simon Kinberg, producer ( and Hugh talent scout) Lauren Shuler Donner, and new producer Hutch Parker. www.joblo.com/movie-news/set-visit-x-men-days-of-future-past---part-three--Lots of info and insights ( some already written about in other set visit reports) - you can read the entire interviews from the link...but I think I will cherry-pick the interesting HUGH JACKMAN aspects --From the Kinberg interview -- He is the face, the point man, the most beloved character of the franchise -- so why not From the Lauren Shuler Donner interview -- Lauren was the first one to be smitten - she saw him in Oklahoma! and she has been smitten ever since ...She also pushed for the casting of Hugh, even after Bryan Singer rejected the idea initially ( er...he was more smitten with Dougray Scott at that time -LOL!)...but Bryan eventually came around . And Hugh has been consistent in his personal and career priorities -- " and of course he wants to do other movies and theater and he wants to take time to be a dad. " And from the other producer Hutch Parker ( he used to be a Fox studio exec, so he is not new to the XMEN movies) -- So, what lies ahead for Hugh as Wolverine? There must be a real changing of the guard at FOX since Tom Rothman left and the film division became the sole responsibility of Jim Gianopulos and his group. If I am not mistaken, JG has also reorganized the Marketing group! Btw, Tom Rothman is supposed to go back to producing...and I can't remember now which ( maybe the film project SIX YEARS, now in development), but isn't he working with Hugh on a future project? Jo

Look at what someone posted on the SHH forum - a photo of the original cast ( "classic cast", as in coke classic , according to Lauren Shuler Donner) during the premiere of the first XMEN ( circa 2000) at Ellis Island. How young and handsome the new movie find (Wolverine) looked! Now, they are reuniting 14 years later ( except we don't know the fate of Rogue). Hmmm.. no way can McAvoy, Fassbender, Lawrence and Hoult compete with this group ( including those not shown - James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, and Famke Janssen only shown partly) in looks and talent! IMHO

New teaser footage posted by Bryan Singer -- www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=40273*On the surface, it seems like Kitty's hands are sending Wolverine to or getting him back from the past. Some fans are arguing that based on other footages, they seem like Rogue's hands and sleeves. I guess we'll know when the second trailer is released. *Is the second trailer due very soon? Jo

Early promo for DAYS OF FUTURE PAST ( maybe the taping will not be released till much later?). Hugh may have limited time during the weeks before the release of the movie ( Memorial Day weekend) as he is likely going to be filming PAN. Photo reproduced courtesy of Narrows. And another one (also from SHH) -- Jo

I found this quote from another board, but I could not find the original source of the interview --
Hope there is still one other movie that the original cast can work together again in!

Could it be the much awaited trailer introduced or annotated by Hugh??
The fanboys are getting restless because the second trailer has not been released and the movie opens in later May!

From the SHH forum -- One fanboy was bemoaning the fact that if the new trailer is shown on GMA, his mother will see it ahead of him Jo Ah, that makes sense! I won't watch GMA live but I'm sure the trailer will be posted online...several thousand times...soon afterwards. True Confession: I've been fangirling & questioning the powers that be about when the trailer is coming too. It is long overdue. With the seemingly long time spent doing re-shoots & pick ups recently & the long delay for a trailer, I hope the finished product is as good as we all anticipate. Fingers crossed. Sue

On a related topic --
There have been a recent flurry ( nay, "deluge" is more like it!) of speculations on movie sites and social media that Hugh will be replaced as Wolverine at some future date ( and could be soon) by the studio, making it sound as if the studio is getting tired of Hugh and would like to see another actor in the role. It all arose when Hugh was asked ( in the recently published set visit interviews) about his returning to the role again and again. He said he is realistic enough to accept that it will inevitably happen, although he did not say or infer that it would be on his own terms. What I find annoying is the conclusion of many sites that Hugh is now being eased out and not because he may have thought about leaving the role to move on with his career.
If I may quote from one of the interviews --
On his own terms! Not from the whim of the studio to whom he has given so much!!

Apologies to former Ozalot, Jen I didn't realize she ( and not a fanboy) was the one who posted it on SHH! Yes, I do lurk over there -- I learn a lot of things - Merci! Jo

Big Day -- trailer alert for the second trailer!
Is that 9:00 am eastern?
Which is exactly 12 hours behind our time here.
I am little intrigued by his hashtag "#DOFP I" - what is the "I" for? Will there be a direct sequel to DOFP ( as in DOFP II)...or is that reserved for APOCALYPSE?
