Guess who Russell Crowe, our favorite tweeter, tweeted to?? James Mangold, who is currently directing "Hughby" ( RC's nickname for his ertswhile co-star) on The Wolverine. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Russell Crowe@russellcrowe If you haven't heard the Crowe/Doyle Songbook vol iii, it's on i-tunes,Amazon etc or you can order hard copies from www.parkbeachmusic.com 5hJames Mangold@mang0ld @russellcrowe I heartily recommend this album. Its lovely. 5hRussell Crowe@russellcrowe @mang0ld Jimmy? How's that film career going? I hear you are rocking the set of W2 5hJames Mangold@mang0ld @russellcrowe I am doing my very best, R. HJ is a joy. And watching The Rabbitohs ascent in the wee hours. How is your (spoiler alert) Ark? 5hRussell Crowe@russellcrowe @mang0ld Everything good here, long days blah blah. Good game coming up Saturday. Isn't Hughby the nicest chap? Enjoy Sydney mate. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wonder when laggard "Hughby" will join the conversations ;D Btw, James Mangold directed Russell Crowe and Christian Bale in the well-received remake of " 3:10 To Yuma". Hugh not lavish much on Twitter. Russell is a tweeting machine. If maybe I could converse Hughby invite the Garden Party to be in NY October 13 (just one day after Hugh's birthday). It would be a dream to see them together on a stage, a prelude to LES MIS. Dreaming does not cost money.

If you remember Drew McWeeny, a popular ex-AICN blogger but has his own site, HitFix, now --
Quoted from Twitter :
57mDrew McWeeny@drewathitfix It's also exciting to see how excited @mang0ld seems to be so far as he's shooting the film.
59mDrew McWeeny@drewathitfix May not have liked the "Robocop" script at all, but after reading the first half, I'll say I'm all aboard for "The Wolverine."

Looks very cool Val! I love learning about "behind the scenes" stuff. I find it very interesting seeing how they bring a film together. I'm going to try and get out to see this.
Looks like there is TWO of Hughie in the photo. The middle one definitely looks like Wolverine and I'm betting the other two beside it are Lady Deathstrike and Senator Kelly. The main bust there looking to the right is definitely Hugh that's for sure. I'd know that beautiful profile anywhere. ;D
Thanks for the info!

But 1 thing I've learnt on this wolverine -dont be afraid of "good" fats: avocados, hummus, almonds. Am adding 2 meals& am leaner than ever.

I wish I was half as dedicated as him when it comes to diet. I don't think I could live on avocados, hummus and almonds. Although, I have to say, every time he plays Wolverine, I do appreciate his dedication, among other things. - Alicia

How does he keep lean on hummus? I love the stuff (especially Sabra's pine nut variety), but it's not exactly celery when it comes to calories.

Maybe he needs the calories since he's working out like crazy. Although, I heard that Anne Hathaway said she practically lived on hummus while filming Les Mis because she had to lose weight to play her character. Maybe there's a special Hollywood hummus. lol - Alicia

I wonder if he can resist the temptation when he is now in Japan filming? I remember him saying that sushi was a favorite with him.
Although some Japanese food are quite healthy!

And a Tokyo photographer who was also doing some work on Mt. Fuji tweeted as follows : Mt. Fuji is the beautifully-shaped mountain with the permanent snowcap. I think they are going to go for stunning Japanese countryside scenes! First, the Provencal mountainside in Southern France for Les Miserables. Now, Mt. Fuji in Japan for The Wolverine! Hugh must love his job Jo

Probably the best view I ever had...and I've had a lot of great views and lived in lots of places. Just beautiful. I'm really looking forward to seeing Hugh/Wolverine in Japan!

What a gorgeous view. "Subarashi," indeed. (I had to look it up: awesome, great, magnificent.) Next month, I'll bet Oscar turns in the best "what I did on my summer vacation" composition.
