Fabulous! You must have had the Premium package. Does he do "meet and greet" things with fans? His tour isn't coming anywhere near me. Drat. I would really like to see him on stage again - it's been too long. No, sadly, no "meet and greet." Yes, I got the "Hot Sound Package." Sorry he isn't appearing near you. Nancy

That was the best concert that I have ever seen in my life. When I saw him years ago, it was in RFK stadium in DC. We were lucky enough to have 12th row center seats on the ground. Linda was with him then, and I will never forget it as long as I live. I still get "goosebumps" even thinking about it. It was that kind of moment.

Paul McCartney plays organ (the only instrument) on Kanye West's new song "Only One." Lots of tweets on Kanye's Twitter site "Who's Paul McCartney?" Listen to song here: www.kanyewest.com (song starts immediately) The song is about Kanye's deceased mother as if she's singing to Kanye (whose name means Only One) At the end "she" sings "Tell Nori (North) about me." I don't like Kanye, but this is a very sweet song. Nancy

I just got back from my annual Cruise for Beatles Fans. Had a blast as usual! This time my daughter Lauren went with me. Beatlemania Live was the headliner on the ship (and played privately just for us in a more intimate/smaller setting) I've known the guy who plays Paul since 2013 when he filled in for another Beatles tribute band onboard. He was also on our plane home to Atlanta! Tim Piper also did his John Lennon/Just Imagine show. Next year the group (us fans I mean) may go to Vegas and see The Beatles Love show at The Mirage for its 10th anniversary there instead of a cruise. Lots less expensive! Also, a friend of mine (who I met in 2012 on the 1st cruise I went on) and I are going to go to England (Liverpool/London) with the Magical History Tour put on by Charles Rosenay. She's never been, so this should be great (during "Beatles Week" in Liverpool, last week in Aug. 2016) Feb. 4, 2015 on Royal Caribbean's The Allure Of The Seas (Oh, and we also saw Nassau, St. Thomas, St. Maarten (Dutch), and St. Martin (French) Snorkeled in St. Thomas and saw big turtles and beautiful colored fish!) Sounds like you had a really fun cruise, Nancy. Plus you got to escape nasty weather. A double win!

Nancy, The cruise sounds fantastic! My Bucket List definitely includes a "pilgrimage" to Liverpool! Did anyone in the NY Metro area happen to catch Paul's Valentine's Day show? OB LA DI, OB LA DA Irving Plaza, New York [Encore] Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End There are more clips on YouTube. Full story here and a bit more here.

"Love" at the Mirage is fantastic. I've seen it many times. It depends on where you sit whether you get the full experience. Hint: If you sit too close, you will be under a sheet and miss a lot at one point. I've found that to sit further back in the lower section, towards the back is the best. I have to admit, it was my favorite show for years, and like I said, I've seen it many times. However, if you are a "Cirque" fan, like I am, and like Michael Jackson at all, the show "One" at the Mirage, can't be beat. I've already seen it twice and will be going back again soon. It's a real party at the end if you get seats on the first level. And the special effects, are the best I have seen in any Cirque show. I am a Cirque junkie.

Some friends of mine on the paulmccartney.com forum (a couple of whom I've met in person at Paul concerts and Beatles conventions) made it to the Irving Plaza concert (only $40 for tickets!!) I've seen all the videos and Paul was great! (not so great though singing Maybe I'm Amazed on the SNL 40th Anniversary Show) Still love him for continuing to get out there and perform. His (almost 3 hour) concerts are FABulous! smiley-happy096 Nancy

I've only seen The Beatles LOVE show once, from the first row. I realized then that being under the sheet meant you missed some stuff. The friend I went with had seen it twice before, from close and farther up, so she told me as well. Nancy

Sorry, I just saw the post. In the first section, closer to the best is great!!! See it again!!! It's really my 2nd favorite. But if you love Cirque, go to see "One" and just pay the price. You can get 25% off "Love" now.

Was it clearer in the original Isley Brothers version? Perhaps. But still, that's so strange. Who would think anyone would sing about harming a baby?

I was so sorry to hear about this! And out of left field too--nobody but the immediate family knew she had cancer. I wonder what kind? What was weird was that several days or a week ago there was a hoax online that she had died. I only found evidence of it after she had actually passed. Strange fact: John Lennon's father also died on April 1st (1976) So sad for Julian--right before his 52nd birthday (April 8th)

The Firefly Music Festival is taking place about an hour away from here this weekend, and the headliner on Friday night was Paul McCartney. The local coverage of his performance made note of the fact that it was "his first day as a 73-year-old!" Earlier, one of the groups performing led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday in his honor, and Paul started his show with Birthday. He performed for 2 1/2 hours, and from all reports, was just amazing. Friday's audience apparently contained many more "older" audience members than would normally be present at an event like this, but he apparently captivated all 90,000 who were in attendance. Many of the younger ones were very impressed with his performance.
On a personal note, my niece's husband, who is friendly with one of the owners of "the official craft beer of the Firefly Music Festival," managed to secure a weekend job tending bar at the event. He was able to send his mum some pictures that he took during "Macca's" performance, earning him more than a few "good son" points!
