Filming in the hills west of Rio Rancho, NM is in full swing!

The shift in tone ( from an urban location to the wide open spaces ) may or may not give us a clue on the storyline for the movie

I think fox were complete idiots skipping comic con.

WB is showing how you fight piretcy.you release what is shown online.

we know more about justice league which comes out in november 2017 than
we do on this film which comes out in march.hell wonder woman comes out june 2017 and they showed trailer despite us still not knowing who the villains
are.

fox won't even tell us the title yet for this film.

since this is jackman's final appearance as wolverine fox really dropped the ball not coming here to start the buzz.Just having Jackman show up with title reveal and Q and A session would have been enough.but no they are cry babies since deadpool & APocalypse teaser leaked online

It looks like filming for Wolverine 3 is on schedule. The wrap-up date was supposed to be August 19 and from his tweet, JM says they just need only 3 more weeks.

It is good to know that Wolverine 3 filming is on schedule because Hugh has to move into the SHOWMAN project after a suitable break.

Josh Whedon airs what he thinks is wrong with movies these days --

But The Wheds has even more to say about Hollywood, and he used his time at Comic-Con to address what he thinks is a major problem in the business:

It's gotten to a state where movie studios are pretty relentless about trying to have an in before they start production. That's not the case for all films, but it is the case for a ton of them, especially the big-budget ones. Part of the problem is there's a dialogue going on between audiences and studios that is devolving, because they keep finding a lower common denominator. This doesn't mean the films are bad --- it just means that the ways in which they're approaching what they're going to make have become kind of ossified. At the same time, audiences are more likely to turn out for something that they already know or like. The problem is that there isn't really a willingness by a lot of people to go into something that they don't already know. None of this helps you by the way, sorry. But it's something that needs to be addressed.

So, is the strategy of FOX and Mangold to keep a cloak of secrecy on the WOLVERINE 3 film project the right way to attract attention to the movie and enhance its audience appeal?

Sometimes some people do not fully appreciate what Hugh had to sacrifice to be able to do the Wolverine character full justice all these years --

If I'm a lush at anything it's food and drink. I'm not materialistic in any way but I value food.

It's not all about gym sessions but also about a rigid diet discipline.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – If you drove down the streets of the quiet Rio Rancho subdivision of Northern Meadows, you’d probably have no idea there was a big blockbuster shooting nearby.

The clues sit on the western edge of the neighborhood starting at King Meadows Park. The parking lot for the park has been taken over by crew member cars. Where King Boulevard turns into a dirt road is a simple sign with an arrow reading “Juarez”.

A couple miles down the dirt road you’ll find rows of trailers and an elaborate set with a toppled water tower.

It’s all for “Wolverine 3”, the latest sequel in the blockbuster franchise starring Hugh Jackman. The movie’s currently filming in New Mexico and Louisiana.

The New Mexico Film Office says it’s employing 130 New Mexico crew members.

“It’s great to have one of the tentpoles as they call it come in,” said Nick Maniatis with the film office. “It puts a little feather in your cap puts a lot of people to work.”

Most neighbors are excited as well.

“It’s a cool feeling,” said Jeremiah Calderon. “I hope they do more of it ’cause it brings a lot of money into the area.”

“We actually drove out there one night to check it out,” said Donna Atwell. “It was really cool some of the costumes you saw people in, the strange vehicles and that kind of thing.”

But not everyone’s been so excited.

Christopher Hurley lives and works out in the rural area where the set has been built. He says his startup Excalibur Research and Development has had its business disrupted because a part of the newly constructed set is blocking his wireless internet signal.

“We can’t contact a lot of the companies we’re working with,” Hurley said. “If you ever worked in engineering or did an engineering class in school, those files aren’t exactly small that we’re transferring.”

KRQE News 13 reached out via phone to Patrick Brazile, a locations manager for the shoot. Brazile said the production was working with the internet company to try and resolve the issue but hung up when asked if they would be paying any compensation to Hurley as a result of the disruption.

The movie is set to be released in 2017.

After spending a few months filming in Louisiana, Wolverine 3 has moved on to its second major filming locations – New Mexico.

According to our source, several “hotel rooms and cabins have been reserved for cast and crew of Wolverine 3 at the Vista del Rio Lodge in Chama for the week of August 7.” This is the same weekend of the town’s annual Chama Days Celebration...

Filming Hugh Jackman's new Wolverine series called "Juarez" We believe they're filming at Plaza Blanca and shuttling the crew and actors there from this parking area.
