You'd think green-sceren filming is not dangerous.

They also pose dangers - Hugh was once sent home early due to banging his head while filming the train sequence in The Wolverine ( and had to be checked for concussion).

A more serious recent portrayal by HughJackman was TheSon. Powerful familial drama about adolescent depression. Nothing fruity about his portrayal. A father trying to help his son...not realizing that as a son,he inherited a similar negligent attitude that his son could handle it

I would say that because we got a Wolverine who was the personification of an attractive alpha male with charisma & badassery to spare in Hugh Jackman's portrayal...that it led to the first XMen movie rejuvenating the moribund superhero genre then.

With a TV series in the past like RookieBlue, why are the male & female rookies all very attractive & could pass for movie actors,when their supervisors look like ordinary folks? Because that is what attracts viewers! Same was likely true in FOX thinking when they launched theXMen films.

In real life, are all cops good-looking

But if that is all they watch of HughJackman's portrayals, then they are missing the many facets of his acting & performing talent!

This Wolverine looks&sounds different - only shows how versatile HughJackman is as an actor.We do not often associate him with comedic roles but in a film like BadEducation-he gave us an unusual portrayal of a vain man who impressed the school he runs while leading a double life.

And yes, I have hype for Deadpool & Wolverine, for the return of Hugh Jackman, for its hooligan and misplaced humor (along with the brutal violence of these two), and for how they handle and correct the multiversal screw-ups that Marvel Studios' MCU tries solving.

It seems many are going to link this film with how the MCU storytelling ( of late, with not that much success) will be enhanced?

HughJackman may do film/stage musicals-- not the genre he trained for. Degrees are in Dramatic theatre (not musical theatre) & Journalism. Dramas (Prisoners/Prestige/Fountain/TheSon &Bway-SteadyRain/TheRiver).Even Logan(drama&action) & LesMis(dramatic musical)show strong dramatic skills

He calls Wolverine role career-defining & the preparation he spends for his portrayal is a sign of his dedication for an excellent performance. His natural athleticism (sportsman in school & even now) makes him a natural for action/musicals while dramatic skills enhance his portrayals.

Hugh Jackman is your answer. He plays all these angry, sad, lonely, bitter jacked guys filled with rage, retribution, and hate, yet in real life he is simply a funny person constantly smiling and charming who loves nothing more than singing and dancing.

Much more than a smiling & charming person. Very articulate because he brings to the conversation a deep knowledge/concern on the subject (like advocacies -when doing press for The Son or GlobalCitMovement). Training in dramatic theatre & journalism led to deep insights into human nature

Followed Hugh Jackman's career pre-Wolverine (since Oklahoma!). I've seen how his career grew in many genres (film & stage). Because what I admire most is his versatility & acting/performing skills, D&W to me is another test of his range. Loved LOGAN, but only as 1 of many career triumphs.

I have been trawling social media -- and it is unbelievable how much people are declaring how they love Hugh in D&W - male & female audiences! Not so much with Ryan... it is all Hugh. It seems he is now on another top wave of extreme popularity. If only for that, D&W is very much welcome ( as I have suggested before, maybe he wanted to come back partly because he wanted to get back to true A-list status).

I do wish Death of Robin Hood can be completed and really be part of year-end 2025 so he can compete for his Oscar -- this would be the best time when he is on another apex of his popularity ( and maybe out of guilt by the AMPAS for ignoring him all these years -- now they see how much admired Hugh Jackman is, especially in his most iconic film role!).

I hope this is not simply wishful thinking on my part
