Kind of ironic that the best male/female teamup with Wolverine is this father/daughter duet Rogue Jean Grey Kayla Mariko Yukio Maybe the one that comes close would be the teamup with Yukio ( another fan favorite)? Jo

What could have been -- from a Liev Schreiber interview . www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/ray-donovan-liev-schreiber-talks-season-5-latest-emmy-nom-1029018*It looks like that James ( and the other screenwriters) and Hugh may have decided to go the route of X-24 ( Wolverine/Logan's dark side) in resolving the issue of the final redemption and finding peace for LOGAN! *Liev, James, and Hugh go back a long way -- in that long ago charmer of a movie, KATE AND LEOPOLD. Hugh and Liev reunited in the first solo spinoff ( ORIGINS), but with a different director, Hugh and Liev seem like good NYC friends as Liev once mentioned that Hugh was a good tennis player ( presumably because they have shared some matches together). If I remember right, didn't Liev bring his two sons to the premiere of PAN? Jo

If you click on the link, the podcast page appears and she talks about working with Hugh. Not sure if that is all, or just teaser-comments.

Anyone familiar with the two-action movie series re assassination attempts against the USA President in DC and London, with Gerald Butler in the lead? He has just been interviewed for the third fiim in the series and he has said that it is inspired by LOGAN, as his movie will dwell on the innerworld of the lead role ala LOGAN! screenrant.com/angel-has-fallen-gerard-butler-tone/It must be very pleasing for Hugh and James to know that other filmmaking efforts have been inspired by their artistic creation!

Logan is already so influential I saw several actors talking about them wanting to stop playing their characters in a manner like Hugh did in Logan and give them really emotional ending. Also good to read Gerard is OK enough to give interviews, he had that accident few days ago. His new film Geostorm looks hilarious :P

This one captures Logan's fierce expression.
Hugh has such kind eyes... but they can be very expressive, too, when he is portraying a different emotional layer of the character he plays.

And as part of the lead-up to the Oscars ( March 4) and coincidentally also on its first anniversary of release (March 3), James Mangold shares more insights on LOGAN -- ew.com/movies/2018/03/02/logan-screenplay/?utm_campaign=entertainmentweekly&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=socialDo check out the link for the original interview with Mangold and for the reproduction of the cited script lines. The transcript ( only the text) is being reproduced here in case we lose the online link eventually. I can't quite appreciate how a script dealing with a coming-of-age LGBT story can be the very solid favorite ...compared to a movie that is full of life's lessons and so dramatically portrayed in LOGAN. Just my opinion, of course. Jo

You may remember EDDIE DAVENPORT as Hugh's stunt double ( and also as his clone X-24) in LOGAN. Before that, Eddie became his first stunt double as well as doing motion capture for REAL STEEL. Eddie shares his filmmaking experience, especially with Hugh, on this article from AIN'T IT COOL NEWS -- www.aintitcool.com/node/80602Interesting and insightful article especially when he talks about the specific sequences involving the Jackman movie characters. As to how it was working with Jackman --

Great fanart and great character studies!
If there is one acting portrayal from Hugh Jackman that was equally overlooked by the Oscars, after Les Miserables, it is his portrayal of this man whose personal conflicts ( good vs evil) defined his character! That LOGAN was the redemptive healing he sought and ultimately found made this film portrayal very impressive and compelling! People cite PRISONERS as his next best performance after LesMis - I would argue that the LOGAN portrayal was more nuanced, engaging, and cathartic!
