A MILLION DREAMS has inspired so many happy reactions, including this very generous gesture from kids!

With the coming tour in spring-summer 2019, the album may even linger in the top album rankings for a bit of time? Those who never saw the movie or heard the full soundtrack may be interested enough to get the CD and the video!

If you read the other two links, one (BBC report) says that the record set was for the 21st century.

It looks like Nicole Scherzinger is making NEVER ENOUGH one of her signature songs these days -- as sung at the Madison Square Garden for the Andreas Bocelli concert recently. She sings it like a pop music diva, but without the elegance and acting subtleties of the Rebecca Ferguson/Jenny Lind combo! But could this be a sign of things to come ( soon)?? Compare with the Kelly Clarkson reimagined version -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES9hM2fgyAA

I was actually acknowledging that the Beatles do have the record...and that TGS's accomplishment was only for the 21st century, not for all time.

It looks the joy of dancing ( or even simply rhythmic movements, such as the boys aping the Opening Number of Hugh as Barnum) is what many kids have taken from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN --

I can just imagine how the Opening Number ( Didn't Hugh promise it will likely be THE GREATEST SHOW ? Hope he does not change his mind!) will go -- will the audience respond with singing along or even kids dancing a bit ? Based on social media posts, it seems quite a number of kids will be there for the show. I hardly saw too many at Back on Broadway -- there was once a boy on the front row with whom Hugh loved playing along with. But he stopped him from bidding for his t-shirt when the auction started. LOL! Although, his Mom nodded her head to indicate it was alright for her boy to do that How will this change the complexion of Hugh's show Jo

Been wondering about this. I think young kids gifted with tickets probably think they are going to see some sort of "Greatest Showman Live" and expect Hugh to be in his ringmaster regalia the whole time. Hope parents who bought those tickets realize that won't be the case! I can just imagine how the Opening Number ( Didn't Hugh promise it will likely be THE GREATEST SHOW ? No idea if it applies for all shows, but for the shows in Germany kids under 6 years old aren't allowed to attend, not even with a parent. Children from 6 to 15 are only allowed to attend with a parent.

On Broadway, the age limit if I remember correctly, is no younger than 4 years old. In the UK, schoolchildren are encouraged to go on field trips to the theatre. In Australia, when I saw the arena tour of TBFO, infants were held in their mothers's arms. I guess that depends on what the policies are for other places? I think Hugh will know how to turn that into a very enjoyable session for the kids -- maybe he will ask them to join him in The Greatest Show and/or other TGS songs that he may sing ( he knows A Million Dreams is the kid favorite)...then tell them that the rest of the show is for them to enjoy, to sit back, and learn about the history of music on film and stage. The young boy who was seated on the front row with his Mom had Hugh's full attention during the show -- he kidded with him, he involved him to some extent, and save for stopping him from bidding for his T-shirt during auction time treated him in a way that the kid really enjoyed ( he gave him a basketball used as prop...then later told him he can join Hugh backstage so he can have his basketball signed). I also did take a grandnephew (he was around 10 then) for the Back on Broadway tryout in San Francisco. He enjoyed the show very much...and since we were seated on the front row, after I got the serenade Hugh moved over to my young relative and dealt with him in a very kid-friendly manner. However when he asked him if he wants to sing, my relative shook his head very bashfully (even if he does know how to sing and dance). But later on, I heard him bragging to his younger brother ( who was seated in a different section at the Curran) that he met Wolverine During TBFO Bicoastal sessions, he once brought to the front, without realizing her condition, a very pregnant lady. Upon seeing her, he told her to stop in her tracks in case something happened to her while he did that hilarious part of the show. Instead, he said she could just stand in the aisle and he will sing ( And he did!) a lullaby for the two unborn babies ( she was expecting twins)! What a lovely and caring gesture from Hugh - some of us were teary-eyed Amazing how he can deal with unusual situations - very quick on his feet and very charismatic! I am sure he is expecting a horde of kids especially at the matinees -- and maybe he has something planned for that possibility. In the theatre ( such as for The Nutcracker), I have seen young girls do a mean pirouette where they are...to follow what is going on up on stage. Since they are quiet, nobody minds them … Also, in the UK, for kid-friendly shows ( such as ALWebber Starlight Express then) I had seen long queues of schoolchildren waiting to be let inside the theatre. They do not disturb other people but sit in full wonderment at the trains whizzing by, accompanied by the singing by the train-characters, and enjoy theatre as it is meant to be. We'll see how it goes -- Btw, I plan to sing silently, on my own, when he opens the show with The Greatest Show Jo

Well, very young kids are allowed in theatre and shows in Germany, too (in kid-friendly shows and musicals, puppet theatre, fairytales, etc.), but not for this kind of show that is more adult entertainment. Frankly I'm glad that at least very young kids aren't allowed to attend. Hugh's show is still more a show for adults and not a children's show! I for one would feel disturbed by loud screaming of hordes of children and would feel like I'm in kindergarten. It would also annoy me, if he would rearrange his show to a bit more child-oriented show. But I don't think that many children will attend the German shows anyway, since the movie isn't such a huge hit among children like for instance in England. Plus, all the four German shows are on weeknights.

I think for shows on Broadway like Lion King, Disney musicals ( like Beauty and the Beast/ Little Mermaid then), Aladdin, there have been no complaints of unruly children behavior. The most that they will do is to wear themed costumes. I think the guardians/parents do guide them on proper theatre behavior.
