Is this for all-time sales?
Looking at the list makes me smile at how anachronistic the inclusion of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN album is! And Hugh Jackman being cited as a recording artist - LOL!

^ No, can’t be for sales. The Beatles 1 album has sold over 31 million copies. It must be something else because McCartney III is ahead of it at #5, even though it sold around 111,000 copies. It debuted #1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart.

It is only for iTunes sales ( which would be a little more recent occurence).
Does it mean the choices gear more towards the tastes of the younger generations?

Appealing across all ages and gender! "From Now On" even sounds like a little bit of country

If you followed the show...
or have seen Joseph and The Technicolour Dreamcoat...
you know that The Peacock is Donny Osmond.
[/img]
I saw the show JOSEPH in London (with another performer)...but I do have the DVD of a special performance of Joseph with Donny and Maria Friedman. Donny performed the role on Broadway.
So, the clues were very telling --
*the multi-colored flag with the Spanish matador was referring to Joseph's multicolour dreamcoat *the wig was obvious if you have seen him as Joseph on Broadway or in the filmed version *he said the wig got him thrown in jail ( he was imprisoned by the Pharaoh) *he said he played an Egyptian who got in trouble with the Pharaoh. *towards the end he talked of "dreams" -- Joseph's other famous song is "Any Dream Will Do"
May I also share memories of an unforgettable experience re Donny (& Marie).
Many years ago when I was still working... I was flying business class to Singapore. Guess who joined us in the cabin? Donny and Marie with their band ( they were doing a show in Singapore). After we had all settled down. the two and their band decided to sing some music practically throughout the flight ( a few hours). We were thoroughly entertained! Unforgettable!

If you haven't seen it -- this is a clip from the filmed performance. Donny and Maria Friedman as The Narrator. Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat was the very first musical written by (the young) Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. It came from a Biblical story but the musical numbers are very catchy and for a while it was the most performed musical in schools.
See the wig...and the coat.
And his other much-loved song from the show --

If Hugh ever reprises his role of Barnum on Broadway with THE GREATEST SHOWMAN -- I would like to see Donny Osmond ( now age-appropriate) as one of the candidates to be his first replacement. He is a true and exciting performer! Plus...he already knows The Greatest Show Jo

That would be 2,400,000 albums ( each Platinum certification requires at least 300,000 for albums in sales). Congrats...again! Jo

The kids love the movie so much I wonder if Hugh Jackman and TGS company know how much they have invaded households, musically-speaking
