Broadway musical theatre favorite Andrew Keenan Bolger (Newsies, Tuck, etc) was in the final workshop for THE GREATEST SHOWMAN -- he was among the chorus when Hugh sang FROM NOW ON ( left-hand side). He also tweeted this right after the session : Hope the soundtrack album makes it 3 times in a row! That would be a real hat trick for THE GREATEST SHOWMAN  |

That was why I think Ramin's version is, in a way, a poor copy ( No offense meant!) as he seemed to be singing the song simply as a showstopper type and a display of vocal range.
Hugh was acting out the song, examining the nuances and verbalizing them with his singing. Hugh sang it as a great eleven-o clock number... as he looks inward and forward. So much emotions and energy... and a range from the lowest whispers to the full-on notes! He is inspired!
The song represents Barnum's journey and his anthem!

I think perhaps the major reason why the musical score keeps fans very connected -- *The lyrics have great meaning -- not just the repetitive lines one finds in current music-video type songs. *The gorgeous ballads are often self-referential or have personal meaning or are sometimes quite dramatic. *The ballads also lend themselves easily to covers, singly or by groups. *The fast numbers are very danceable -- and kids and not-so-kids think that with improvised canes and top hats, they have become real showmen  America is singing again    |

This song could very well be Hugh Jackman's own thoughts about his passion project movie musical when he announced it in August 2009! A million dreams which came true -- as it has become " this generation's SOUND OF MUSIC!"
