The Jackman Hampton home feature in Architectural Digest included this phrase -- may attract a new market - the upscale market readers of AD who might be interested in seeing the show Jo

From a comment re the film adaptation --
How true! That is why the story is really a social satire. How a town, in small-town America in a period-setting, rediscovers itself, that it can repent its outlook and see the good in people!
There is much denigration of The Music Man now because it beat West Side Story for the Tony Best Musical ( although I personally believe it is more to do with people wanting to air their social justice views now and to some extent because Broadway purists view lyricist Sondheim as a theatre god)...and I do concede that West Side has a more romantic musical score...
not realizing that the story of The Music Man was one of the first to address, in a town setting, the issue of prejudice and inclusivity!
Meredith Willson wrote from the heart! And in a feel-good musical story!

Nice to see a lot of sentiment from playgoers attached to seeing this revival! Celebrating events ( birthdays, wedding anniversaries, friendships) and family events ( a grandma buying tickets for a grandma/daughter/granddaughter day out...and now this Mom whose mother took her to the show and will now share memories with her own daughter). Of course many recall the great time with The Boy From Oz and now hope to repeat the experience! Moi, included ! Others with more recent Jackman memories via The Greatest Showman & his music tour (TheMan.TheMusic.TheShow) want to repeat seeing Hugh show his joy of performing once again. And from the general public - the movie adaptation itself or even community/school theatre productions which gave them wonderful memories which they would want repeated!

What is "Crosswalk Musical" doing on this topic? Well, if you look close enough -- on the left side of B'way (the street), 2 blocks down, you can see the Winter Garden Theatre with its huge SCHOOL OF ROCK sign.At 3'23" ...and a few othe times. This area is likely going to be familiar when our time to visit THE MUSIC MAN comes Besides, who minds watching this clip another time Btw, since this was filmed before the Dec 20, 2017 elease of The Greatest Showman, Hugh did not know then that this neighborhood would be his B'way home soon Jo

The dilemma of many -- Hugh - take your vitamins, live like a monk ( like you did for TBFO)...and maybe take another booster 6 months from now Jo

Ellen,
I wish I could join such a group -- especially after the show and people are reacting to a show that they have just seen... reminds me of many happy tour group experiences in Europe.
