I just love when a journalist is as clued-in to this man's gifts as we are...( from /film.com)
"What a rare breed of actor Hugh Jackman is! A man with movie star good looks, but without vanity. An actor unashamed to embrace the absurd, treating a mutant with metal claws with respect. An impressive physical specimen who transforms his body to sell an innate, inhuman toughness. A skilled comedian who knows how to cut right through this character’s serious side with brilliant reactions and deadpan line delivery. In Logan, Jackman found an outlet for all that makes him special. Pity whoever plays Wolverine next."

Seth Rudesky today suggested that it is time for a revival of SHENANDOAH starring Hugh Jackman.

Ooh, I can just hear him singing, "This land...is Anderson land." Nice idea. I hope he warms to the idea of doing a revival some day soon.

I saw John Raitt in the role at the Pantages years ago. He was wonderful. I can really see Hugh in the same part. It's a powerful role, and I bet he would love doing it.

Will Hugh change his mind about revivals? The only revivals he has done are the 2 R&H iconic musicals ( Oklahoma! and Carousel). Even in movies, his choices are first film interpretations.

How about some Lerner and Loewe? I'd love Hugh as Henry Higgins alongside Anne Hathaway as Eliza Doolittle. Will Hugh change his mind about revivals? The only revivals he has done are the 2 R&H iconic musicals ( Oklahoma! and Carousel). Even in movies, his choices are first film interpretations. jo

Part of Tate Modern where private functions can be held are named after Len Blavatnik, on whose landmark birthday Baz Luhrmann must have roped in Hugh to perform together with other celebrities. www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2017/may/04/tate-modern-names-extension-after-oligarch-donor-len-blavatnikThat must have been on that particular birthday celebration? EDIT : Based on a video clip of other performers for the birthday celebration, it looked like it was held in a huge castle in the British countryside? Maybe the Tate event is an extension of the celebrations honoring Len Blavatnik who was the biggest donor to the Tate Modern and may have been held the following evening ? Just guessing, of course Jo

So many nice things being said of Hugh Jackman on social media. I still have to read anything even remotely suggesting that he was less than a very nice person! And we know how he has been at the stagedoor Jo

Lol- I thought he only thought somewhere in New Jersey ( see MAKING THE GRADE, by Corey Smith) It is actually listed on IMDB now, uploaded by Corey. Corey joined us briefly on the original TBFO board - I wonder if he is still pursuing his dream of film-making? www.imdb.com/title/tt0409026/
