James Mangold promised to have a teaser/trailer out sometime in February. Some speculations this might appear at the Super Bowl. We'll see... Jo That would be awesome! Even better if the Patriots are in it! ;D :-/ ;D

I really like that article and Jame's take on the story. It's good that he's such a long time fan of the character! Sue

Isn't Wolverine quite the ladies man? Kayla/Silver Fox, Jean Grey, Mariko and the others with whom he does have some connections ( Yukio, Viper, also Lady Deathstrike ). Rogue has also a very fond connection with him.
There is talk that Jean Grey may be in a cameo in this movie.

Just a fun idea...imagine trailer for The Wolverine with "Academy Award Nominee Hugh Jackman" But if I remember correctly, it wasn´t in The Avengers with RDJ...

This photo is also supposed to be from The Wolverine - although I don't understand why he has the bone claws when the storyline is supposed to happen after " XMen: The Last Stand" when he has already been grafted with the adamantium! Unless this is a flashback? Jo

I think there should be some flashbacks from WWII.

And even in this actual scene, he seems to send off a different vibe -- I guess the fashion statement is that we will see Wolverine mostly clad in black or dark grey?? Jo

I have never seen Wolverine looking suave and worldly! Jo Can anyone else read the tag on the bottom ride corner? It looks like it says empireonline.com to me, but the computer I use has a messed up screen and I'm not sure. If it does, I wonder if this will be in the new issue of Empire magazine? (Fingers crossed, because that photo needs to be framed om my wall.) - Alicia

I looked at the big one I saved on my computer this AM. It was a news item from Empire where I got it. Sue

In addition to the exclusive photos ( from Empire), there is also this update on the storyline, from one of the producers, Hutch Parker --
"We pick up Logan in a very isolated state, full of self-loathing. He is sought out by a young Asian woman for reasons he doesn’t fully understand, who is asking him to follow her to Japan where he is meant to reconnect with someone he spent prison-time with in Nagasaki. And the legacy of that experience – effectively Logan saved him – is that this man is on his deathbed, and is looking to give him a gift, to thank him for the life he’s had. But this gift draws Logan into a very complex and very unexpected world within both contemporary Japan, and to some degree the feudal history of Japan. The quality of this story is that it takes Logan on such a challenging personal journey. He’s so in isolation, so out of his element. It’s a much more powerful distillation of his character than you’ve seen before. It’s why people have always love this particular story."

The more I read about this story, the more I can't wait to see it. All the images we've seen so far look so different from any of the other movies where he's played this character and the story sounds very intense. I think we may get to see another very dramatic performance this year...actually 2 because Prisoners will also be dramatic & intense. July & Sept...the future looks very good indeed :o Sue

Apparently the trailer is going to be with the new Die Hard movie (Die Hard Retirement Home, or something, right? ) on February 14th, but it's going to be released on the internet 2 days prior, so that's 2 weeks to go. I couldn't be more excited!!! - Alicia

A new photo -- Wolverine looks angrier or more embittered than ever -- almost jaded and not caring of the future??

James Mangold shared this photo on his Twitter, but I could not reproduce it. Here's a reproduction from a film site -- Here's the Mangold tweet ( with the much larger-scope photo) -- James Mangoldþ@mang0ld A production snap from shooting a wood chopping scene in Omishima. We found an eight inch caterpillar that morning. pic.twitter.com/NIBceVz9jFJo
