Sonia Friedman and Hugh Jackman He was photographed cuddling up to British West End and Broadway theatre producer Sonia Friedman at the premiere, both sporting big grins. Friedman produced Stranger Things: The First Shadow and clearly shares Jackman's love of theatre. Sonia Friedman was also the producer of THE RIVER. My guess is that it was Sonia who invited Hugh to the premiere.

Oh, okay. When did he join as producer... because all announcements about this play indicate that it is Sonia Friedman who is producing it? And isn't he too busy with the Deadpool-Wolverine movie to be actively involved in producing this play.
Maybe he is more like an honorary producer? Although I could not find anything official indicating that.
Sonia Friedman ( who produced The River and with whom Hugh collaborated on the riverbank prices for that show) and who is a regular producer on both the West End and Broadway is announced from Day 1 as the show producer.
If Levy joined later on as honorary producer( I know about his connection with the TV show) -- although he has said that he was more of a musical theatre nerd in the past.
I have thought of the possibility of Shawn Levy being either the film director of Hugh's possible next film musical... and maybe even something on the theatrical side.
But to many, their collaboration in Real Steel is still a beloved one to this day.
Of course there is the Deadpool-Wolverine movie in the near future.

Jo He’s listed as one of the creatives on the show’s website. Shows often have many, many producers with varying degrees of involvement. Since he’s a producer/ director on the original Netflix show he might have contributed on a few levels. Sometimes investors get labeled producers.

Shawn is turning out to be a very busy person - he has been announced to direct a new Netflix Ryan Reynolds heist movie (Like Ocean movies but happening on the international scene).
But he did say he was once a musical theatre nerd. That was why I would find it interesting if he directs Hugh in a film musical... maybe a remake of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN but contemporized... with Hugh in the Kelly role and Ryan, maybe, in the O'Connor role... maybe even Taylor Swift in the Debbie role ( although Debbie looked much younger in the movie)?

Hugh Jackman went to see the last performance of Alan Cumming's cabaret show (ALAN CUMMING DOESN'T ACT AGE) -- (Is that Brian with him?)

Hugh and Alan worked together some 20 years back -- in XMen-2 UNITED.
Alan was Nightcrawler and had an impressive Opening scene in the movie.

If Hugh Jackman ever does a show like this, an intimate but a shared portrait of himself -- I hope he will have it recorded so he can share it with every fan, every man, the planet! Jo

I saw this show locally a few months ago, and Hugh describes it perfectly. Alan Cumming was wonderful in this production, and his message was inspiring.
