http://instagram.com/p/BL7BB2yD0l3 A fan puts on a lighthearted comment from Hugh's caption -- Laura: "Shot" by Mangold Also, this is not the first time that I have read a comment that Dafne Keen bears some resemblance to Hugh's facial structure. Jo

One fanboy's fervent wish -- We all wish! But it is not practical -- *There is the danger of piracy looming ahead if it is released way ahead of the slated release date for the public *If it is shown only in a limited number of theaters -- you might get a riot in your hands ... or have a queue at the box office days ahead of the showing

This week, LOGAN is the most popular film page on IMDB ( presumably based on how active the Message Board is and/or hits to the site) with a #1 rankingwww.imdb.com/title/tt3315342/And that is just due to one trailer

But this is more telling of the reaction --
Hope it eventually translates into repeat and repeat and repeat patronage of the movie! What a sendoff it will be for Hugh Jackman!

I open today's edition of my daily (local)newspaper and it is the first time I remember that a long article simply based on a trailer is featured prominently ( even in a boxed feature to highlight it...and using Mangold's Logan portrait of Hugh Jackman and a white-on-black layout to give it stronger focus). Btw it is a business-oriented newspaper, similar to the Wall Street Journal.
It reprinted the article posted by THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, via a Bloomberg news distribution --
Btw, the movie is supposed to open here two days earlier because our regular opening day falls on a Wednesday. This has already been announced by the local distributor!

Now this is very interesting - as reported by The Hollywood Reporter : www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/x-men-2-trailer-redone-style-logan-940946It is not as compelling as the real LOGAN trailer -- there is angst and sorrow with the last part of the story of Wolverine and Prof X! It appeals to the heart of every fan! It has even made people cry! But this shows how much the LOGAN trailer has affected people...that they wish to recreate the same feeling! Jo

www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/logan-hugh-jackman-shirtless-photo-941348October 25, 2016 11:31pm PT by Aaron Couch 'Logan': Hugh Jackman Is Battered, Bruised (But Still Ripped) as Wolverine in New Photo It is not so much the form that Hugh has kept over the years, it is the dedication and professionalism towards his craft which is the more admirable aspect of Hugh Jackman's tenure as Wolverine! What are your favorite shots from the trailer?
Mine are quite a few :
*The scene before the mirror, probably showing Logan at his most vulnerable, physically and emotionally.
*The scene where Logan, with an uneven gait, carries the frail Prof X to his bed, highlighting the bond between the two.
*The scene in the car showing Logan sleeping on Laura's lap, possibly the start of mutual trust between Logan and his blood ward.
*The scene where Logan is driving the car fast (and looking to both left and right), possibly hinting at one of the most exciting action scenes in the movie.
*Logan in his iconic leap and stabbing motion, reminiscent of the fighting Wolverine at his best!

All indications are that HJ as Wolvie will be leaving the franchise on a high note. I'm really looking forward to this movie.

I learned something new today by just watching a video reaction to the LOGAN trailer - a phrase/word that always sounded exotic to me, but never really knew its meaning and how it is used. www.indiewire.com/2014/06/what-mise-en-scene-is-and-why-it-matters-133415/At 4'48", he talks about how this trailer sets up the total mood of the film, calling it a mise-en-scene ( a term used in film-making) for the forthcoming movie. But do watch the entire clip - it's one of the more insightful and article reactions to the trailer. Jo

James Mangold's artistic insights --
Much like the appeal of impressionist art compared to a classical painting!

Another inspired recut of the trailer -- this time using flashbacks interspersed with the Logan trailer, showing dramatic milestones in Wolverine/Logan's life.
I am not including it here, but it also inspired a recut of the Batman trailer interspersed with the Logan one. LOL!
