It looks like the trailer is also in theaters now --
DS is presumably Doctor Strange.

Patrick Stewart posted this photo on June 21 on Twitter, when they were filming somewhere in Louisiana. I had wondered why he looked so old and what he was doing in a cornfield -- When I was watching the trailer for the umpteenth time, I noticed that the scene where Logan was driving the car fast and Prof X was seated at the back, that it seemed they were passing by a huge cornfield! In the scene, Prof X really looked old and very fragile. I wonder if a huge action scene happens in the cornfield maze because the location managers were exhilarated to find the cornfield on their scouting mission. PS: I just found out he and Ian Mckellen were interviewed by my favorite journalist Christiane Amanpour on CNN on October 18 - too bad I missed it. Jo

Thanks, Valerie - I enjoyed listening to them, these knights of the theatre There is something that Patrick said about what it meant to be " in the moment" which reminded me of something similar that Hugh said in an interview. I recall Hugh saying that it is not the applause which means that much to an actor but it is that very instant when the audience becomes part of the play because he is connecting with the actor. It is that particularly charged moment of connection. I think Hugh might have talked about this in the Times Talks conversation, with reference to THE RIVER. A pity that there is no role for old Magneto in LOGAN. Patrick, Ian, and Hugh added the impressive gravitas that sent the XMEN movie franchise on its way in 2000! Jo

I've seen a few articles and even video tributes that seem to imply that this is the end of the road for Hugh Jackman, actor! A door closes, another one opens!Maybe many are not aware that Hugh Jackman is a very versatile actor ( some even write that he is probably the most versatile around)... and that what he has chosen to do at this point is to explore the other options which his acting and performing gifts can also bring to the table! He is a film actor and a stage performer both... and he has chosen diverse genres for both performing platforms! He will likely be still sought for other action-oriented movies. He will probably be more focused on other dramatic roles. Occasionally, we might see him in musicals...or even comedic roles. His main asset is that Hugh Jackman is a classic leading man type -- the type who can continue to handle excellent roles into their middle age...and beyond! How old was Gregory Peck when he became Atticus Finch? Or even take a turn in a vanity project such as a Shakespearean play or a Shakespearean-inspired project ( Kiss Me Kate, anyone?)? It is fascinating that Hugh is leaving the genre of superhero movies ...when other equally mature actors are just establishing themselves in such franchises. He did pave the way with the first XMen movie ... now he is paving the way again with his departure from the genre in order to explore other options that his talent and versatility allow! But I still look forward to seeing him in heroic roles, but not just out of the comicbooks Jo

New storyboard (posted by Mangold) -- That looks like the scene that was acted out by Logan, in the earlier photo. It is the same motel name (Liberty). Why is the name of the motel particularly important? And a second one also from Gabriel Hardman, also uploaded by Mangold --

The photo has led to some gushing over " the unfairly handsome" Jackman with some sites -- www.slashfilm.com/new-logan-images/. An article from another site notes that in the storyboard, Logan seems to be watching some action happening before the motel entrance ( showing an ambulance and police cars). But two other sites ( SuperheroHype and ComingSoon.net) also note the "stylish- looking Logan" And ScreenCrush shares these notes -- LOL - I don't think it was the intention of James Mangold to present an image of Logan ( aka Hugh Jackman) as a particularly handsome character when he shared it. But it is not the media's fault for noticing that Hugh Jackman carries a suit well-enough to be mistaken for a male model for GQ Back to the serious intent of the photo and the storyboard images -- The "leaked" set photos showed Logan similarly dressed in a suit -- but they suggested a more ominous impression. Hmm... Jo

Someone uploaded the series of trailers from 2000 to 2014 -- In one of the video reactions to the LOGAN trailer, one reviewer made this observation : " This new tone shown on the LOGAN trailer is an EVOLUTION!" A new evolution for the genre ... which the franchise redefined from the moribund comicbook movies of the decade before the very first XMen movie appeared. In itself, the first XMen movie gave us a more serious look at comicbook characters and new plots which had depth and related to social issues of the day ( i.e., non-acceptance) Ironic that it was in this first movie that we see Prof X meeting Logan/Wolverine for the first time...and now almost 17 years later, that bond will be one of the key subjects of the next XMen movie, albeit a spinoff. Prof X is seriously ailing and Logan is physically-weakened and maybe dispirited ... hence the dark tone suggested by the LOGAN trailer. It is somewhat nostalgic to watch those trailers covering all those years -- but it is also a good reminder of how the filmmakers have kept to the general tone from the very first movie. Watch the trailers, but not while cutting onions Jo

Now this image posted on wponx is a real teaser http://instagram.com/p/BMOwJ7hjyl_ Ominous clouds ( that portend an event) coming? The quiet landscape soon to explode? Is this near where Logan and the Professor are keeping a low profile? Jo
