"Where are all the Mutants?" etched on a toilet stall has drawn many speculative feedback.

xlivlpSet in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan's healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.

*Does this mean Pierce is working for Nathan Essex? Does he organize the Reavers ( some casting for a Reaver role indicated on the LOGAN IMDB page)

*But fanboys are also questioning the time setting of 2024 because that would only be one year after that alternative timeline in which Wolverine woke up ( to see the original cast alive and well) in Days of Future Past. Could a dystopian 2024 immediately have happened?

*Many feel that timelines are being redrawn once again - although some say that the XMEN franchise has not always been that particular about continuity. Even the WOLVERINE trilogy, they say, does not seem to connect to each other in terms of continuity

*The disappearance of mutants is also hinted at in OLDMANLOGAN...and it seems also other comic book series involving Wolverine, according to some fanboys.

*Also, the "smelting plant" image has prompted the possibility that LOGAN may have also be partly based on DEATH OF WOLVERINE.

*While the aging of Logan and Prof X connotes OldManLogan to other fans.


Will the first teaser/trailer provide more definitive hints of the storyline ?

A lot of speculation by fans as to when the trailer might drop. Could it be on October 23 ( 10:23 hint?), which is a Sunday, causing some guesses that it might drop during the premiere airing of this season's THE WALKING DEAD (Is that a Fox show?). There are some strong speculations that it could be released together with the release of DR. STRANGE ( November 4 release)...Someone has also posted that according to the French site for the movie, the trailer might be released on November 4 ?

A few other issues

*Someone threatened to boycott the movie if it is in Black and White ( because that is how it is currently being marketed)...But someone countered that he would love it because it is going to have a first-time-for-a-comicbook-movie to have a film noir vibe. Cool! While one said that B/W will show the gore ( red blood) even more graphically. The way some people could use their imagination is sometimes unbelievable

*Someone is not happy with the way it is being marketed...but another thinks it is way cool!

*Many, many do not want this to be Hugh Jackman's final XMEN movie...but one or two want it because it would guarantee the extinction of mutant movies made by Fox and return the rights to Marvel.

*Some want Mr. Sinister in the movie, others would prefer him to be fully introduced in an XMEN team movie.

*Some think it has a chance to outperform DEADPOOL because it will be Hugh Jackman's finale movie...while others swear by DEADPOOL.

*Some predict a Soft R rating for LOGAN...compared to DEADPOOL'S Hard R rating. How is one to tell? Is it the nudity issue ( who knows what Hugh will do this time ) -- or the profanities ( if you have seen Page 2 of the script, everyone knows the page starts with an expletive. Level of violence -- many think LOGAN will be very violent.



In unanimity, though --

*They will cry at the end, especially if Wolverine dies!

*They are prepared to see it a few times and then buy the BluRay.

*WE WANT THE TRAILER YESTERDAY

When Hugh went westward recently, I wonder if he also had a chance to hop to LA?

I wonder if he and James Mangold had a chance to look at a possible trailer for LOGAN and maybe a developing director's cut ( first pass)? I doubt that they will send stuff via the internet anymore as leakage is already a major problem. Remember when the entire movie of XMEN ORIGINS was leaked even before its final edit?

The Canadian site which lists recently-reviewed trailers does not have one for LOGAN among the latest reviewed trailers. The most recently reviewed trailer for FOX was a 3rd trailer for ASSASSIN'S CREED ( with Fassbender, due out in December this year).

Logan star Hugh Jackman has released yet another mysterious teaser image for his final Wolverine film.
Jackman posted the image to Twitter. The photo is taken from inside a car. A flipped open sun visor reveals newspaper clipped to the inside. The Tweet’s text simply reads “SUNSEEKER,” and includes the movie’s name and release date.

Sunseeker is a yacht manufacturer. That means the word is probably referencing the photo of a boat scene on the visible page of the newspaper. What exactly that means for the movie remains a mystery. Perhaps Logan is looking to retire to the sea in his old age, or maybe he’s searching for someone who owns such a vessel.

Another scoop story from OMEGAUNDERGROUND the villains --

We have an exclusive first glimpse at Boyd Holbrook‘s bionic arm as villain Donald Pierce in James Mangold’s Logan.
As a set photo of Boyd in costume as Pierce has made it’s way to us.
Here is Boyd with actor and US Army Veteran Matthew McClain who plays “burned faced Reaver”. This also certainly confirms Matthew’s role as a Reaver in the film and that Pierce is likely indeed their leader, like in the comics. I’m digging Boyd’s throat tattoo here.


This seems to be one of the few Logan images not being shared by James Mangold and Hugh Jackman.
Justin Lebrun (The Big Short, Midnight Special, Into The Badlands, Jurassic World, Terminator: Genisys) is another actor listed as playing a Reaver in the film. He appeared in Daddy’s Home, which also had Sienna Novikov in a role. We first reported that Sienna is likely playing Laura aka X-23 in the film, as backed-up in a report from The Wrap.
 

McClain’s IMDB page has a set photo of himself, Justin LeBrun and James Rawlings  in costume as Reavers. This pretty much confirms the trio of actors will face Hugh Jackman as Reavers in the film. The three actors are wearing the same polo shirt that Matthew is wearing in the photo with Boyd.

I’m starting to get curious if Boyd’s robotic arm will have laser claws like the private military group Strikeforce X, as the Reavers seem to be taking visual cues from them, including microphone headsets.

Along with this shot which McClain mentions includes the “main Reavers” hanging-out in New Mexico, Rawlings is seen here as well.

James Rawlings (The Dark Knight Returns, Battleship, Deepwater Horizon, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Looper, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Oblivion, Dawn of The Planet of The Apes) is seemingly absent from the cast list on IMDB, which isn’t surprising as confirmed cast members like Dafne Keen are also missing from it.
We’re kind of hoping that the martial artist (Wushu/MMA), fitness model and actor could be playing a version of cyborg villain Omega Red, but it’s currently just our own wishful speculation. Although, James did play a Russian soldier in RED.
 
Equally possible Boyd’s Donald Pierce is some hybrid of the two villains as he’s also a cyborg.

The site Trailer Track made the announcement that the Logan trailer has official been classified, which (if you don't know industry lingo) is the final process for getting a trailer slated for release to the public. Here are the details reported by Trailer Track: "The trailer running 1:46 has been classified today by the BBFC (alongside a version presumably slightly re-edited for a 12A rating)."

BBFC stands for the British Board of Film Classification.

Has MPAA also rated the trailer for USA release?

LOL- What it reminded me of was when the production team was looking for a filming locale near New Orleans, they were very exhilarated to find one with a cornfield.

It looks like there will be two trailers ( the so-called RED-band and the GREEN-band trailer versions) --

The BBFC in the UK has classified it as a 15 Rating ( the equivalent of R-rating in the USA). There will also be a 12A rating, presumably for the younger demos.


Btw, PRISONERS was an R-rated movie.

It's Logan...not exactly Wolverine!

Maybe this is the reason why Hugh ( and presumably James Mangold) wanted the more human representation of the man (with a gift of mutation) to be called by a name he gave to himself  - Logan!


We will likely get a deeper character study of the man in this farewell Jackman portrayal of Wolverine.  It may be a tale filled with violence but maybe it is a compelling story of James/Logan's return to humanity, too!

*My first impression was that it evoked a certain look of Clint Eastwood

*Also, a Wolverine with scars is sending a message that his healing factor is also waning.

*I am also thinking that I have never been teary-eyed in an XMen movie -- will this be the first time?

*Given the portraits of Prof X, Caliban, and now Logan ( from "a country of old men") -- does this close the saga of Wolverine ...and no more movies can be expected...unless we are talking of his DNA progeny.
